I have submitted my passport application on 18th Sept,2010 having file number :BN19B1015115910, Name: Feba Thomas. The police verification is also done. The status is not traceable online and on inquiry i was told that the police clearance certificate is in the SP office,bangalore and that unless its sent to kormangala office nothing can be done. I do not understand how are we responsible for this mess that's happening. Its been 6 months and high time that i can wait and take no Action against this.

I applied for a passport renewal on 17-Sep-2010 and till date haven't received the renewed passport. The passport seva kendra website says "Passport application has been granted on 28/09/2010. Police Verification (PV) has been initiated and a PV request has been sent to SP Office, District Bangalore. Your passport will be dispatched after Clear Police Verification Report is received at Regional Passport Office. You would receive an email/sms once the passport is dispatched."

My file number is BN207127702110, ARN is 10-1411961.

I checked with my local police station several times - they haven't received my file. The seva kendra guys completely disown the police verification part and asks individuals to follow up. The SP office would not take any questions on phone.

This is 1 ridiculous system that has been built - what is the benefit of a process where there is such gaps? Shame on the entire passport department.
