Dear Sir,
This is to inform you that I have been cheated by Bajaj Auto Insurance
company and its agent - Vijaj Giri, Senior Sales Officer, C.P. Branch,
New Delhi (Mobile: 9958082351).
On Sept 4, 2010 - I requested for new Bajaj auto insurance by calling
the Bajaj customer care. On the same day, Vijaj Giri visited my house
to collect the payment.
I issued a cheque (cheque no. 142988 of HDFC Bank) in the name of
'Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co. Ltd.' of the amount - Rs. 14,500. The Policy was for my car - Car Model - Maruti Swift with Regn No. - DL7CH 7028
Vijay issued an acknowledgment slip and left. He promised me that the
soft-copy will be emailed to me within a day or two.
Next day, A surveyor from Bajaj Auto visited to check my car. As my car
is just an year old - He had no problem's in approving it. I confirmed
with Vijay and he again promised to get me at least the soft copy of
the policy within a day or two.
On Sept 6, the payment was debited from my account and I patiently
waited for the soft copy of the policy.
Its been more than two weeks now and I have not received anything
remotely related to the policy - neither the cover note nor the policy
has been delivered. Everytime, I call Vijay he gives me some excuse and
promises to get it delivered within in a day. I feel cheated.
Also, now I am worried that if this is the scenario during policy issuance then god help me
through the claims process!!
I urge you to address the issue.

Please read the complaint again. The policy was not received - that is the compliant all about - from where will I get the policy number?? I have already raised the issue with the customer care and dropped an email to info@bajajallianz.co.in.
Today, after 14 painful days and giving reference of consumer court thread, I have received the policy (Policy No. OG-11-1003-1801-00020755) but that too with wrong address!!

I have finally received the soft copy (without any error). However, I am still waiting for the original copy (hard copy) through postal mail.
