My name is Gaurav Gupta. On Jan 23rd, 2008 I had invested Rs 12 lacs with a real estate deveoper in Kolkata. His name is Rajesh Jaiswal and his partner Rajiv saraf. Their address is AE 23 Rabindrapally Post Office Prafull-Kanan, Police Station-Rajarhat, Kolkata.
We had signed an agreement saying that I am investing in one of his apartments he is building. In return had verbally told me he will give me RS 24000 a month as interest while the property is in construction. If in any case he is not able to finish the house or sell it he will return the full money back to me.
He did give me interest for about 8 months and then stopped giving me interest. When I asked him for my money back, he refused and started giving excuses and it has now been almost 2 yrs that he has not given me interest or my money back.
He is based in Kolkata and I am in Delhi. I cannot go back and forth to fight with him.
I need your help in getting my money back from him and interest as well if possible.
Please suggest what needs to be done.
