Hi,
I am an ICICI credit card holder, and in one of the statements I received a booklet from AVA merchandising wherein I could order certain products. I placed an order for a UCB wrist watch costing rs. 990.00 plus rs. 100.00 as shipping charges. They charged the amount to my credit card on 30th May, 2010.
AVA merchandising promises a 21 day delivery. However, I didn't receive anything for over a month. I called a few times and everytime I would get the status that the watch was not in stock. Finally, in late July I called and canceled and asked for a refund, and was told that it would be paid in 3-4 weeks. There was no cancellation number provided as they said the system was being upgraded.
I didn't get any refund and called on August 30th. I spoke to their customer care representative, Mrinal, who confirmed that my cancellation was logged in their system however they had already dispatched the watch. I asked him to cancel that and just refund my money, as I had already asked for a refund over a month ago.
I again called AVA, Sep 6th, and spoke to Deepika. Even after 8 days, they are still saying that the watch has been couriered and they can't provide a refund. Very strangely, my original cancellation, which had been validated even by Mrinal, was now not on the system!
I called again on the 10th of Sep, spoke to Mansi, who was very rude, and cut the phone on me. Then again, I called on 17th Sep…and even now they are saying it will take another 10 days
I have waited for over 3 months and this company doesn't seem to be interested in giving either my refund.
I want my 1090.00 plus the accumulated interest that I have paid on it for the last 4 cycles

Please contact me at my mobile no 9811787374 or my mail id subrata.neogi@gmail.com I have filed a case against AVA at the Consumer Court and the hearing is on 26th Aug 2011. The Company is avoiding taking Court Summons and we should all get together to file an FIR against this Company.
