I have started DND 4 months back for my number
On calling the Airtel CC, got the following info about my airtel account:
DND requested on: 15 APRIL 2010
DND on force from: 30 MAY 2010

Still, I am getting the promo SMS es.
When called to the airtel cc- '121' "several times..", they say they can only restrict Airtel OBD and Airtel SMS promos and not from other external advertisement sources...

Daily I get SMS'es from companies which i hav never subscribed or never interested in:
Following are some list of names which i receive sms from:
1. td-coupon
2. ba-unimatic
3. 9700123568
4. 9642208573
5. td-dialUz - 9966997994
6. Tata AIG
7. lm-batra
etc etc every day

Also sometimes receive some calls from HDFC credit cards for offering credit cards..
Recently when informed the HDFC tele-caller , i enquired if i have account with their branch. On getting no reply, then i informed that I started DND.
Upon telling, she asked what is it..!!??
I had to spend time telling her the DND is what and all.. !

Please let me know procedure how to restrict these SMS filling my Mobile Inbox everyday....
If this is not controlled by Airtel. whom should i contact with?
