Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Ltd, part of the Mahindra and Mahindra Group, Tuesday said it was in the process of acquiring properties in SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) countries to set up more tourist resorts.

"We have recently bought a few properties in Thailand and are identifying locations in neighbouring countries to set up resorts," Managing Director of Mahindra Holidays Ramesh Ramanathan told reporters here.

"We hope to finalise this in the next six months," he added.

Club Mahindra has a membership of about 40,000. The company said it aims to take its Club Mahindra brand worldwide saying it was growing by 70-80 percent every year.
