IT learning services giant Aptech Ltd has signed a pact with Egypt's Information Technology Institute to start high-end technical training courses in the country and has opened its own office in Kuala Lumpur.

The objective of the tie-up with the Cairo-based institution is to collectively penetrate strategic markets in and around Egypt, Aptech said in a statement. To begin with, it will extend e-learning courses to the institution.

In Malaysia, where Aptech intends to invest $8.5 million over the next two-three years, the idea is to offer it to individuals, corporates and institutions, officials said.

Aptech has been operating in the country in partnership with the Human Resource Development Corp (PSMB) and Cosmopoint since 2002 and has trained some more than 1,000 graduates with 98 percent job placement, officials added.
