    Default credit card fraud



    hi i am girish

    i recently came to know that somebody has commited a fraud on my name by opening a bank account in HDFC bank some how they got access to my documents and have opened a credit card account on my name now they have send telegrams to my permanent address asking me to pay the bills.I called them back and said that i never have an account in HDFC bank since that i have got number of calls from HDFC for bill payment i was harrased in every aspect after few months an advocate called me on behalf of HDFC asking me to give a confirmation in written abt the current situation i said i have nothind to do with that how can i get out of this situation they are threating me to put my name under RBI what can i do please help the fraud commited is for amount Rs.50,000 to Rs.70,000

    i have already mailed to talktous.... and i cant recall i have applied for one ever in my life so i would not know abt the credit card number

    Dear Girish,

    Kindly refer to the bills you have been receiving from the Bank. Every credit card bill has the card number mentioned in it. Also provide us with your contact details along with the reference id TTU00092723082010.

    i didnt get any bills as such i only came to know abt all this scam after i got a telegram from HDFC asking me to pay the bill then i called them on the number they specified in the telegram which reavealed the all about the fraud and more ever i never applied for a credit had i applied for a card i would have known that.
