    Hello Sir,

    I wanted this issue to be resolved on airtel end but they forced me to lodge a complaint.
    Today they have sent me a legal notice and there is big hue and cry in my family which has never seen
    a legal notice ever in their life. This has led my life into hell.
    I used to hold a Airtel Broadband connection (011-45104686).

    I had requested 121 way back in last week of March 2010 for dicountinuation of this service effective
    04-04-2010, to which customer care associate told me that he is forwarding my request for now but asked
    me to confirm the same on 3rd because they don't process request in advance. I called in 121 again on 3rd to confirm about the same, but they asked me why I was discontinuing the connection? I told them that I am shifting to
    a new place and also I am not satisfied with the service and speed they were providing and MTNL had
    cheaper plan. Then they convinced me to continue with airtel, and they will waiveoff my shifting charge
    of Rs 300. CC person also assured me that shifting will be done within 3 working days. On 3rd April I shifted
    to my new house, but connection didn't which was expected. When shifting of connection didn't happen
    in 3 days I contacted CC and they said every time that it will be done by end of the day next day. But that never happened. After a week or so they came and installed wires but connection couldn't happen. Again after calling repeatedly they send a person to activate it but that person said since a new number will be assigned to me due
    to change in location, that will take few more days. I waited for a few days again but that never happened. Then I asked them to close the connection. I needed a new connection immediately since my work was getting impacted. Then I called them again on 15th April and asked them to close it with immediate effect. I don't needed that any more.

    After that I had several communication with them since I was still seeing status was active on my online account. When I called customer care everytime they said that it is closed from their side which I can't see and and I don't have to worry about bill, that will get adjusted. I also started getting threatening calls from their collection center when I
    aid I am not gonna pay a single pay because there is nothing due on me. Also ones a collection center associated visited my house and threatened of dire consequences if I don't pay bill immediately.

    Sir please help. My family is really worried afetr seein legal notice which I know doen't stand any importance.

    Here are my details of interaction with Airtel CC associates.

    328496 - Mr Iman hussain 3rd April for discontinuation of connection.

    31193106 - For Shifting. Later I received a call from CC and requested me for transfering it to new location instead of disconnecting it which I agreed on. But shifting didn't happen even after 15 days which I needed badly and incurring lots of problem. I had to go to cyber cafes everyday for hrs to access internet. Finally I had to ask for disconnection again and applied for a new connection from MTNL.

    130872797 - Mr. Ishan - around 15th April. - Confirmed that he has put in a request for disconnection and it is effective 15th April.

    32944216 - Ms. madhulika Singh - 21st April - Confirmed that my number is disconnected effective 15th April. Bill for month of April will be adjusted because new connection was never transfered to new location.

    34463318 - Mr. Manish Raj - 29th June - Confirmed that it is disconnected effective 15th April. Bill is being wrongly generated and will be adjusted soon.

    35878818 - Ms Pooja/Ms Indu - 2nd August - Confirmed that it is disconnected effective 15th April. Bill is being wrongly generated and will be adjusted soon.

    150675663 Ms Aruna/Harsha/Irshad - 5/6th Aug - Confirmed that in my previous communicationsI was wrongly informed that my connection is closed. It was still active that is why I was still getting bills.

    Aruna confirmed me that she has talked to her manager and this will be taken care of within 7 days and I'll receive a call about the same. Since there is call record of my conversation with the CC associates that I had requested for disconnection and system is clearly showing that there is no use at all so there is clear evidance of no use.

    I had given these details in conversation with CC associates every time but I don't see a reason why this is not mentioned in the complain.

    Hope my issue gets answered ASAP. Please don't call me for payments anymore and also stop sending associates to collect money from my house. They really talk and behave rudely to my family members.

    Default Legal notice for unpayment of postpaid mobile bill

    Hi all,
    My name is Rahul Das from Bangalore.
    Yesterday (20 Nov 2010), I received a legal notice from Airtel for non-payment of mobile bill. 2 years back, I was using Airtel post paid connection. Due to some reason, I planned to take reliance number and remove the airel connection. Before removing the connection I tried to clear all the dues (around Rs 12,000). But some amount (Rs 2000) might be the left over balance which I forgot to pay and I did'nt receive any call or mail from them to pay that amount. Now suddenly after 2 years I got a legal notice to pay the remaining amount which is now Rs 4300. They must have added all the interest for all these months. Why shall I pay these interest charges? I should only pay the principle amount. Had they sent the bill for left-over balance (which was around Rs 2000), I would have payed it before itself. It is not my fault. Now what shall I do? I will go to the lok-adalat on 25th Nov 2010 and convey my views. I dont know what else to do now.

    Default MISTAKE is from AIRTEL side

    Hi

    Even i got notice for not paying 2 months airtel broad bill. Actualy we have disconnected on August and in SEPtember have taken new airtel wifi connection. But AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE People didnt not disconnect the connection and the mistake is from their side nw they are asking to pay bill for SEP & OCT and in these months we have been using wifi not the old one.

    Please stop these kind of legal notices to us as the whole MISTAKE is from AIRTEL side.
    we are loyal customers to AIRTEL since 2.5 years and due to this notice we are planning to shift to other operators.

    Default Airtel Legal Notice After Cancellation of account

    Hi

    This is regarding Phone Number / DSL : 02041284402_mh.

    1) I had sent in a request to cancel the account on July 2nd 2010.
    2) This request was confirmed and logged under request number: 34589918 via a mail from airtel on July 2nd 2010
    3) On July 3rd I was asked to put in a fresh request by airtel
    4) Only July 10th I put in a fresh request to have my account cancelled which was confirmed by request number 34899286
    5) On July 10th I received a mail from Airtel stating that, "This is with reference to your request for cancellation of your service, we
    would like to inform you that the request has been logged for the same.

    Please make note of your request reference number - Ftn no : 175606 /
    175610.

    Further we would like to inform you that your current outstanding amount is
    Rs 0/-

    It has been our privilege to be your preferred telephone service provider
    and we regret losing your valuable patronage." (Full mail below)

    6) On Jan 12th I sent in a mail stating that I was being disturbed by calls from airtel to pay the outstanding amount.

    7) Today I receive a legal notice stating that I still have 3951/- left as oustanding to pay

    I do not understand what is going on from your end. Kindly resolve this at the earliest, this is causing me extremely high levels of dissatisfaction with customer service at Airtel.

    Default Airtel illegal harassment after disconnection

    I have disconnected my broadband connection and I have a balance of about Rs. 5200. I have not been in the city and so cannot pay in person. I want to pay online or have a check picked up. Yet Airtel people illegally harass me day and night. In the last 2 days i have 95 missed calls. Yes, 95 MISSED CALLS IN 2 DAYS. This is simple harassment and I do not even want to pay the balance now. I keep telling them to stop calling but they wont. It disturbs my whole business and clearly shows how useless airtel customer 'care' is. The customer revolves around them it seems.

    Hi,

    I was using Airtel Broadband service last year. In the month of December I told them to cancel my connection. To retain the customer they told me they would give me same plan for half rental(500). I agreed and plan was not changed i still received bill for 1300-1400. January I call them and tell them to disconnect and they start apologizing and tell me the same thing. I requested them to disconnect and they say i t will be done . i don't receive internet connection at home from January but I receive the fake bills. I try speaking to there customer service rep for about 20 to 30 times nothing happens. Finally I go to the Store (Cambridge layout) they again give me a phone saying i need to talk to them on phone.. again nothing happens. I finally get so fed up that I write them a mail and I get their response saying they will cancel my connection. Its July now and May-June no one calls me and suddenly I receive a Legal notice to pay 3000+ amount amount. Why should I pay the amount when internet service was not their at our place? I am really fed up and can't take this anymore . Airtel has become a true example of Fraudulent service . I am angry ,harassed and annoyed. I have enough complaint numbers. I need this problem to be resolved within a week . I have gone though enough mental trauma if not I would love to see you in consumer court.

    Default Legal notive for bill charged after disconnection

    Hello Sir,

    I am also suffering from similar issue. Today an Airtel executive called and harassed by telling that they are going to serve a legal notice for non-payment of bill.
    I don't have problem with paying the genuine bill for the time I was using their service. But, the problem is that the biil amount of Rs.1039 includes bill for extra one month after they had disconnected my number. I used to hold a Airtel Broadband connection (080-40979279).

    I had lodged complaints to Airtel customer care regarding the issues with Airtel Broadband. The connection used to fail a lot. They sent their executive to fix this. But after 2 days the connection stopped working. Out of frustration, I requested Airtel customer care in July 2011 for dicountinuation of broadband service. They requested to continue by offering a waiver of Rs.300 in the bill. I agreed but still the problem persisted. So, I finally decided to discontinue. Now, the number got formally disconnected in last week of July. Airtel Customer care executive called me to confirm this and asked me that they will send their executive to pick their phone set and modem and asked me to pay balance bill of Rs. 285. I waited for their executive to pick their stuff as I thought that I will pay the balance after that.

    After that I had communicated them regarding their stuff. Then at end of August, I came to know that they have charged me with August's bill as well which is one month after the number got disconnected. This was really height of negligence. When I called customer care they said that the number is disconnected and my request will be considered. They will send an executive to my place. But that never happened and today they are harassing like this.

    Sir please help.

    Default Harassment by airtel for payment with legal notice

    Hi,
    I was a user of Airtel broadband connection for which land line no is 02241231446.
    Airtel recovery agents are harassing me for payment despite the fact that i have paid full and final settlement and connection has been closed.
    Since I was not happy with the airtel broadband i decided to close the connection and requested to customer care for the same and same has been done by 26 may 2011.Afte that I have made full and final settlement of Rs. 1874 on 06 June 2011.After that I have again received a bill of Rs.846 for the period after disconnection.I have lodged the comlain for this extra money on 29 June for which Service Request no is -1056596 and the customer care representative said to me that since this has been charged after disconnection airtel will waive this amount and the request has been sent for processing and I do'nt have to pay anything.
    After that I have received call from recovery agents for payment on that i told them that no amound is due from my end and given him my SR No.
    Now after 5 Months later I got a call today(16 Nov 2011) for payment and if not paid Airtel will send me a legal notice regarding this payment from thishazari court(Delhi).
    after that i had again talked with customer care and also visited airtel relationship center,Mulund(w) and they also confirmed that i do'nt have to pay anything and somebody from airtel will call me to confirm this.I asked them to give this statement in written but they refused and asked me to write to nodal.west@in.airtel.com for written confirmation after that i have written a mail regarding this problem to nodal.west@in.airtel.com but does'nt get any response.
    again in the afternoon i have received another call same threatining for legal action.
    NOW I DO'NT KNOW WHAT TO DO.

    Default Harassment by Airtel

    Hi,
    I requested for disconnection of Airtel Broadband by May 27 and they greed to do so. After couple of day I got call from Airtel and they said they can give me connection with rent of Rs 250 per month.

    cancellation request number : 480837
    So, I agreed to continue but when I saw the bill the amount was rs 1500 and they said it will be changed in coming month. I told them that I will pay only if they change the plan. But they didnt. I got repeated calls from Airtel asking for the payment of the bills. I told the reason. Every time they call me I have explained everything. Even in subsequent months they didnt change the plan instead they keep sending the bills.
    This is really doing bad for the customers who really trust Airtel. They unnecessarily sue me for the mistakes not made by me.
    I am using Aitel DTH, Airtel mobile and Airtel Broadband. But this makes me to think to continue to use or not.

    If still they want to continue in with this legal notice then I have to go the court and need to ask all the records of conversation that happened between me and customer care.

    Hello,
    I have recieved a notice from you today sealed by Member Secretary District Legal Society. Has been asked to meet Deputy Register CMM court. I am not sure why this has been sent and i am shocked by Airtel Customer care behavious and customer care service. I have requested to disconnect my Airtel broadband number 080-41214882 in the month of April 2011. I had been relocated to Mumbai in the month of April 2011. I recieved a call from the customer care about the due charges that time, which i paid within in few days. however on an extended conversation the customer care guy asked me whether i am coming back to Bangalore or not. I told i may or may not. In that case he suggested me to keep the equipments in my house for few months , if i return i can continue using the broadband. I dont have to pay any rental for that. I agreed to that.
    For personal reason i returned back to Bangalore in the month of July. I requested for the connection. However there was no connection giveafter n i waited for couple of weeks. I requested to take the equipments away. Surprisingly in between i have recieved a number of calls to pay the rental of my connection (even when i was in Mumbai).I dont know which rental are you talking about. I was threatend of legal notices, dont know why should i listen all these.

    I have never been defaulty in paying any of my bills ( be it Credit card, Telephon bills, water bills, loan EMIs), and this is very small amount to settle things up. However i still dont want to only beacuse why should i pay, i feel i have been cheated. I have stepped down to the Airtel Customer Care outlet in jayanagar 4th block, they told they cant help it. I need to call the Bannerghata office from a phone placed there. I conveyed my concern again there and the guy said dont worry you dont have to pay any amount. Equipment will be collected. Again suddenly i recieved a call for the due amount again. Today leqal notice . I humbly request you to settle this up from your side, and i am taking care of equipments for past months who will pay for this. If something happens to those i cant stay responsible for it. The legal notice is an extreme disappointment of Airtel customer service. Please settle this up ASAP.
    I am from a legal background of a telecom company so i am not afraid of your notice. I am just angry and pissed off. Thanks in advance for your assinstence.
