Request you to kindly help me with proper advise.
In June this year , I had a major brain surgery.
To help me with the household work , I cotacted a maid agency 'Anand Group
(Kotla mubarakpur, New Delhi.....Phone no.9811663591)' as it is a registered
agency.I thought that dealing witha registered maids provider will be safe.

He took Rs. 9000/- as advance,but he neither provided the maid nor is he willing
to return the money.As per the terms he was supposed to provide the maid within
15 days of payment, but 5 months has passed .His intention os not to pay back my
money.His strategy is to keep postponing the payment, till I get frustrated and
lose hope of getting the money back.
Luckily I have the cash memo of the amount paid.
I have been suffering a lot in health , after my surgery, because of the mental
tension given by him.

I would like to know the following:
1. Can I file a case of defficiency in service and for causing mental trauma ?
2.How much money will spent as feed etc.?
3.I am employed in Hyderabad, but the agency is in my hometown , Delhi. Can I
file a case in Hyderabad itself. Thuer cash memo does not state the city in
which the leagl disppute should be settled.
4. How to approach , and whihc body to approach?

In general, Iwill like to warn everyone on the forum about the fraud agency

In todays busy life..or because of cases like me with ill health, sometimes we
tend to get attracted towarsd these unscruplous agencies which claim to provide
domestic help...and we end up losing money and peace of mind.

1. It is a fit case for filing a case for consumer court
2. The case has to be filed in Delhi and also in a district forum in whose
jurisdiction it falls
3. You can entrust someone at Delhi to fight your case.
4. One cand file the the case himslf / herself
5. Most of the courts are sympethatic to consumer cause, hence a simlpe
complaint written in hand will be acceptable. However you will have to
understand the complete procedure ateast once
