Submit Complaint..I have been a regular user of justdial since the time they started. Initially, I refused to give my mobile number and they would then tell me the number I wanted over the phone. Soon they changed their rule and we "had" to give our mobile numbers and they won't say ot over the phone anymore. As of one year ago, I noticed that anytime I ask for a certain number from them (say of a particular hotel), a hundred hotel owners start calling me!!! I called them and they said that they cannot do anything - it is their "rule" that anytime anyone calls justdial, the numer is passed on to dealers in that category! I fought with them and told them that it would be illegal and they have no right to pass on my mobile numer to anyone without my knowledge.
However, my sms box (which was fairly clean thanks to my DND to vodafone) has begun to get flooded with unnecessary sms-es and I am spending a large part of my precious time either deleting them or receiving calls.
In this context - I would like to know the actual legal ground. Do merchandiers have a legal right to 1) pick-up 2) pass on personal cellphone numbers to others ( I do not give this right to even my friends and family - they ask me before passing on my mobile to any stranger)?
If no, then what is the procedure to take action against it. This is becoming an increasing menace and I am sure many people would like to find a remedy to this.
Is there a remedy?

Fraud by Just Dial I was a regular customer of Just Dial. In year Apr 2008, I made a contract with this company for listing (Chandigarh) by paying Rs. 10,000. That time their representative said that this contract is for 1 year. But in Dec’2008 I received a call from their representative that my listing has been stopped because my balance is over. They debit Rs.5/- for each query. Their sales representative did not tell this. And, I didn’t got much business from the company because most of the queries were fake. In Apr 2009 again I renewed my contract on assurance of Mr. Parvinder Bhatia (Chandigarh) that now the service of Just Dial has improved as their software is upgraded. Later I came to know, that was all bull shit. That time Mr. Parvinder Bhatia made contract with me for listing in Delhi (Rs. 10,000) and for Diamond Listing (Rs. 30,000). I gave the amount of Rs. 40,000/- against Cheques. I gave this amount on assurance of Mr. Parvinder Bhatia that if I don’t like the service of Just Dial then I can discontinue the contract and my money will be refunded. By May’2009 I realized that the service of Just Dial has not improved from the worst. Because, my website & e-mail address was changed. On repeated e-mails to chandigarh office and delhi office , the changes was not made in my listing. My request fell on deaf ears and e-mails fell on blind persons. Nothing happened. From Apr ‘2009 to July 2009, I was receiving nearly 10 to 15 queries daily from delhi. But most of them were fake. In July 2009, a female representative (Ms. Nidhi Malik) from Chandigarh office called me to go for Guarantee Seal. The day, I said no to her that I am not interested in that, I stopped receiving queries. I received just 8-10 queries after July’2009 to till date. This is how Just Dial is working. Just Dial people are just minting the money. Their services are worst in the world. Then I called Mr. Parvinder Bhatia that I don’t want to go for Diamond Listing (which was not activated yet) and kindly give me back my other cheques which I gave for diamond listing. He assured me that he would give back those cheques. But till date I didn’t received them. On 07-10-2009, Rs. 15,000/- was debited from my account. I called up Mr. Parvinder Bhatia, he said that it had been debited by mistake and the amount will be refunded. But, again my calls fell on deaf ears. Just Dial people care a damm for their customers. Till date I havn’t received my money. Now Mr. Parvinder Bhatia has stopped picking my calls also. On 19th December 2009, I received a call from Ms. Arpita Pandey, she argued with me for nearly 45 minutes. She kept on saying that give one more chance but she didn’t agreed to pay my money back. I don’t want to give this company another chance. Now, I just want to tell the people of India that don’t trust on false promises of Sale Representatives of Just Dial. I am trying to tell this issue on News Channels. So, any one cheated by Just Dial by any means can contact me so that we make a team and fight against this Fraud company so that people will get aware of being cheated by the persons of Just Dial.

As per discussion with u about not receiving leads. I didn’t understand what you want to explain me in previous mail(you have signed a Supreme Package and will get leads on rotational basis and this is a Tenure contract).
I only know that from 4 days I received only 2 leads and that are only inquiry calls. for checking this I call to just dial 5 times with different numbers and names for require computers service etc. after all calls I didn’t receive a single inquiry from you for that.
I think all you peoples running a fake, not fare and money extortion business from your client. I suffer from 5 days and calling and mail to just dial again and again but nothing happen. please mr shakir stop my services now and my ecs also now.i become so frustrated and disappoint with just dial
(Another issues is every morning I received a call from just dial a person mohit demanding me previous balance advance money 8000/-and say your listing not activated due to this and you will not get leads. but when I talk with you u explain some different stories that nothing happen. Don’t worry, no need to give money advance. what all this?????????/)
Please I requested you again stop my services and ecs now
