Hello, this is a complaint against Bharti Airtel. I was convinced to port to Airtel from Idea by Navaratna Airtel Retailer, Juria, Nagaon, Assam in July,2012. So on I agreed for MNP and submitted all supporting documents along with duly filled MNP form to the said retailer to port my Idea cellular no. 919435761890 to Bharti Airtel. After one week during 2nd week of July, 2012 my mnp was successfully activated. I was enjoying airtel services with pleasure. But after 20 to 25 days of services, on 4th August,2012 , around 10 pm, suddenly the MNP airtel sim showed failure of its registration. Instantly I checked out the incoming call response, it replies that my number doesn't exist. Immediately I contacted local customer care of airtel and lodged the complaint. Initially, they told me that it might be technical problem, so on they asked me to switch off my mobile and remove the sim and insert it again after keeping my mobile switched off for some time. I followed them, but it dint work. Again I called to the customer care, then the reply was different. They told me that the verification call after MNP was not responded by me, they informed me that this might be the reason for which my number has got deleted from their system. When I informed that I never had any call nor any msg for any verification from Airtel. They got confused and transferred my call to their superior manager. The manager repeated the same, when I asked him whether the said reason is the only cause of the deletion of my number from their system. Then he told me that he cant provide the exact data since their system doesn't have proper data regarding my number. Then he asked me to talk with his superior regarding the exact reason and transferred my call. I was on hold for almost 4 minutes, then again the same person received the call and informed me that his superior officer is busy in some other call. He also told me that he got the reason which I asked for. Now the reply again different, he told me that my MNP application has been rejected due to some unknown reason. Then I enquired him that there should be prior information to me before such events. He replied that according to company rules, they dont provide any prior information while rejecting any application. Then I asked him to tell me the procedure to regain the service and protect my 6 years old contact number. He replied me that it wont be possible.
Now my request to this forum to enable me to regain the service and protect my number. Because I cant ask Idea cellular company to follow this task since already they handed over the authority to Airtel during the MNP. I am now helpless. According to my view, airtel was not supposed to acquire the authority for the porting until they find all their documents fit by verifying the MNP application. Because of which, now I neither avail the airtel service nor the Idea. I m getting so much of harassment since I lost my number. I request this forum to give a suitable solution pertaining to my problem.
