This is a discussion on Complaint against HP officejet J5780 All-in-one printer within the Printer forums, part of the Computer Hardware category; I had brought a new printer HP officejet J5780 All-in-one printer, CN73UC1086 on dated April 13, 2009 from “COST TO ...
I had brought a new printer HP officejet J5780 All-in-one printer, CN73UC1086 on dated April 13, 2009 from “COST TO COST COMPUTERS, 106, 107 Meghdoot Building, 94, Nehru place, New Delhi-110019”. The cartridge no. 74 for black and 75 for tri colour was installed in this printer by default. These particular cartridges are not available in any market in Delhi except the shop I have mentioned above, that used to provide me the cartridges from last one year.
The main issue started from Oct 07, 2010 when I purchased a 74 no. cartridge from the same shop. On installing this cartridge, printer continuously flashed an error i.e. cartridge on right must be replaced (new 74 no. cartridge). I s tried everything to rectify it like unplugged the cable and plugged it back, switched-off the printer for 5 minutes, removed then clean the cartridge, but nothing worked out. So in this concerned, I have already approached to the shop from where I have brought this cartridge but they did not give good response. Finally I reached to “RT Outsourcing Services Ltd, B-81, phase-2, Okhla Industrial Area, Delhi-110020” for this cartridge replacement. One of the employees at this office told me that the new cartridge (74 no.) provided by the shop was expired and they could not find the part no. mentioned on this cartridge i.e. CB335WL. Then I submitted my application copy with the bill to this office, in return of this he gave me written letter about the expiry dated (2009) and nonsense cartridge mentioned in it to show to that shop. I moved to the shopkeeper on the same day and told him. They offered to replace the expired cartridge with the new one, which was again found to be expired. So I refused and took my money back. Ultimately, on the same day I made a call to HP consumer support on 18004257737. The CCE told me that I can use the other cartridge compatible to my printer, and gives me the, part no. CB335ZZ, cartridge no. 860 (Black). I asked to confirm it first and he very confidently confirmed it and gave me the contact no of the dealer. Doubted, I again called your Customer care center to reconfirm, the different executive assured me that this cartridge will do the needful and told me that he have also confirmed it by dealer also. Afterward, I also confirmed from the dealer named by executive near my home location “Saini Electronics 1-2, Garhwali Mohalla Laxmi Nagar, New Delhi-10092” by telephonic call. After confirming it by customer executive, HP technical person and dealer, I ordered this part no. cartridge from the dealer mentioned above. On installing this cartridge in my printer I got flashing light continuously, once again indicated an error i.e. “This cartridge is not intended to use for this printer”.
The very next day (Oct 08, 2010) I called to HP consumer support an executive asked me approach to our printer service center at “Redington India Ltd, E-48/4, first floor, Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-2, New Delhi-110020”, and to meet Mr Ganesh, the coordinator. Now Mr Ganesh told that he cannot do anything as they never seen this model and again asked to approach HP Officers.
So in this regard I am writing this mail to you to look into this matter which is now going to be wild me. I have lost my money for the new cartridge (860), time from around one week and found myself, harassed, cheated, confused and misguided. I am feeling helpless at this movement therefore; take necessary action so that I would be able to continue to work with this printer. Kindly, provide me the original cartridge (74) by replacing cartridge no. 860 (which I have already brought as misguided by your executive).
Kindly acknowledge the mail receipt.
Thanks
