Sub : Shopkeeper Selling Cold Drinks & other Products on extra charges on MRP


I would like to share the information that following shop keeper are extra charges on MRP on cold drinks & milk product

if 200 ml cold drinks MRP Rs. 10/- they charge 12/-, for 500ml cold drinks MRP 25/- they charge 28/- same on milk product and other various product above MRP prices. And if we ask them about the same they give us the reason stating "Thanda karna ka paisa alag lagta hain" nor they provide any bill for the same. I therefore request you to please take legal action against all the shopkeepers. following is the name and address of that shop keeper

This is bring to your kind notice that Milk is sold above MRP (Half litre Amul milk costing 14.50 is charged Rs.15) by shopkeepers in Destination Centre (DC), Magarpatta, Pune. Even if the customer give the exact change, they argue on having Rs.15. They keep customers unaware (those who do not bother to see MRP) that the actual cost is 14.50 and ask Rs. 15. DC being the only shopping area inside Magarppatta city, the shopkeepers are overcharging the items. It would be a great step, if these measures could be restricted.

I have the same problem there are two nandini booths at the kengeri bustop, which is jus on the mysore bangalore highway, both of them charge a rupee extra on MRP of milk or curd which is really annoying. & just because these people charge a ruppe extra all other local shops follow same...

Greetings. Shops in Green Glen Layout - Bellandur - Sarjapur outer ring road - Bangalore are selling 1/2 litre milk for rs. 13. MRP is 12 and also 1 litre for 26 rs. They have programmed their billing system in that way so the bill is printed as 13 rs. only if you start questioning them each time you purchase, then only for for 1 litre they charge 25rs and with much fuss give you back 1 rs.

Please can you look into this issue.

I am resident of Mumbai, Dahisar. There are lot of stores which offer cold drinks and milk at extracost then written on MRP. And when asked, they declined selling the product. And i could see lot of people sharing the same complaint as mine and it seems no action is taken against them yet as no replies are provided as well. With all cost of living increasing in the country day on day. What should be done? Whom should be contacted to complaint against this? Rich people are getting richer and poor people getting poorer. Hope, reading this should help you to know what people in india are going through. I would rather pay 10 rupees to a handicap beggar then to pay one rupee extra then the MRP. Please look into this as soon as possible as i feel this website is for consumers of India. And it wont make sense of this website if people are not helped appropriately.

I live in bangalore and its a common practice here to sell the milk packet 1 Rs. extra on the MRP.When we ask the shopkeepers that its not legal to sell things above their their MRP, they hardly bother and are arrogant.Please look into the matter with the weights nad measure dept .

I reside in Velachery and we get Aavin full cream milk 1 or 2 packets regularly from a local retailer. Once the purchased got spoiled after heating it under gas flame due to which we informed the retailer. We went back and informed the retailer that the milk got spoiled for which the retailer informed that it will be the water mistake which you would have mixed with the milk. We replied stating that we dont have mix water with the milk. From the next day whenever my wife goes to the same shop to get the milk packets then the retailer gives a reply that No milk packets are available and all got sold. He said that you have to come at 7am to get Aavin milk or else you will not get it as it has demand. On the same day my brother was sent to the shop after 5 minutes were he gave the milk. The situation clearly means that the retailer refuses to sell milk only when my wife asks for it. As a consumer if any product purchased is defective or spoiled then we have the rights to ask or money back. But we didn't ask money to the retailer rather we just informed him politely that the milk got spoiled. My wife has to walk 2 streets away from my house to get the milk as Aavin full cream milk is not available from the retailer nearby my place. What action can be taken against the retailer as he is refusing to sell the milk packets every time.
