ya.. i am having the delivery slip of speed post. please tell me what can i do? i am very tensed regarding my exam.its a matter of one whole year. moreover its not my fault.

If you have the proper proof then you can easily drag them to the court, but before going to court just confirm the reason why your post was not delivered.
Let us know the reason first, so that we will take the appropriate action against them.

yesterday we went to GPO but at 1st they were not ready to entertain us, then they asked to submit GPOan application along with the photocopy of the delivery slip. i have submitted the both.now waiting for them to find and tell me the reason.no idea how much time will they take.but i hope they ll inform me soon.i ll let u know again once i ll get the information from GPO.

its very sad to know abt ur situation.i can understand ur problem,have u registered ur complaint on india post website (www;indiapost.gov.in)
u should register ur complaint there too & if even after doing all dis,they dont give u any reasons then we can drag them to court....dont worry....i m always wid u.....i will help u out........u send me ur speedpost no. & all details at my email ishu......@gmail.com...i will file complaint against them on ur behalf.....keep smiling

i had filed the complaint regarding the speed post in GPO jaipur.They said tht they ll inform us by post regarding the complaint.Today i recieved a letter from postal department and in that they are saying that they cant do anythin regarding the post as you are late, i.e. you had filed the complaint late(after a period of 1 month). they are saying tht they entertain the complaints only within the period of 1 month from the date of post.and in my case its almost 2 months. they are not ready to do anything and neither telling me bout the reason.. tell me what can i do next? i have no option left.please help.

As you mentioned that they are not giving you the proper response, so we have only one option left, file a case against them, We are mentioning some Judgments which will help you in the Consumer Court.

1) Letter containing documents not delivered to addressee --- It is deficiency in services --- Damages awarded.
[ Sudhir Despande V Eldec Services Ltd. Bombay. 1994 (I) CPJ 140 ]


2) Registered letter not delivered to addressee --- Deficiency in services --- Exemption under Section 6 Indian Post Office Act not to be given --- Token damages awarded.
[ Post Master, Head Post office V Y.K. Swaninathan, 2004 (III) CPJ 127 : 2004 (3) CLT 98 (TN) ]


3) Post Office Guide --- Clause 182 --- Complaint about loss of articles or letter during postal transit to be entertained within 3 months only as per Clause 182 of Post Office Guide --- But the office entertained complaint after 7 months --- Now the postal department is estopped from saying that complaint made beyond 3 months --- The department failed to give details about whereabouts of letter and articles --- Now complaint filed before Consumer Court --- Complaint allowed --- Postal department to pay willful negligence proved.

My father booked Speed Post on 1st June, 2005 from West Block, RK Puram, New Delhi Post Office sending my application for admission into Class-XI, Science in the DAV School, Ranchi at the following address-To The Principal, DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir, As the admission has been denied in appropriate school, I will be forced to study in inferior school without my fault and due to negligent behaviour of Postal staff. Due to this, I may not be able to accompany my father who has been transferred from Delhi .

I have sent a courier by speed post on 23-4-2012 to Gorakhpur from ALWAYE Had post office.The number is:EL357801449IN.The online tracking is showing that the courier has reached the destination post offfice.But the item hasn't been delivered yet.When the receipient went there to collect it,the officials at the post office made some lame excuses and made him to go there many times.So I complained it with the post office here.THe complaint number is:68300007492.Even after all this, there is no action from anybody and the courier is still missing.What do I do now?Please help.
