for christmas i attempted to purchase a les paul guitar from what i perceived to be a trusted seller.
upon receiving the package i found that the package had been dropped with considerable force onto its neck. this has not only severely dented the headstock but also the top of the neck has a large crack that seems to go all the way through the neck. it was packaged in a guitar box with polystyrene padding and a second inch thick polystyrene box around the guitar box, so there should have been plenty of padding.
i contacted the seller straight away and it seemed it would all be resolved quickly as the package seemed to be insured. but after not being informed of the item attempted to be picked up, and missing the second pick up the sellar has stopped our contact and now seems to ignore all my e-mails..
e-bay would usually help but because the seller seemed to be co-operating i did not lodge a complaint within the 45 day period after buying.
iv tried contacting parcel force and organizing for the item to be picked up but because i did not make the original order i cant get involved..?
is there anything i can do?? or am i lumbered with very expensive paper weight?
