Dear Sir:

This is to inform you that I sent an Insured parcel (No 437) from Chennai post office to my mother who stays in Panchkula (134112). I insured it for Rs 500/-. My mother received this packet after almost a week.

When she received the packet, the items that I had sent from here (my mother's medicines and dry fruits (4 kg)) were being replaced by books on Christianity. The wax seal on the parcel was not tempered with but the packet was torn from the side and re-stitched with a different color thread. I had sent a written application to the postal department, but no action has been taken as of now.

I had been relying on Indian postal services for number of years and this is the first time that the items have been replaced from the Insured parcel.

It is not the matter of money that I had spent on this parcel, but it is the stigma on the name of institution.

I am an Army Officer and want that the person who is involved in such kind of treacherous act should be dealt with severity and my insured money should be reimbursed.

I look forward for a justice from your end.

Warm Regards

Ruchika
