My name is Saurabh Mishra I had sent a package through the DTDC Courier and Cargo Ltd. on 31/07/2009 which has still not been recieved at the desired destination. However the online DTDC tracking site shows it to be delivered. On my continual persual for months I was some how able to get DRS from them which had signature of some person named Anurag whom neither do I know nor was the parcel intended to be given to.

The parcel contained clothes for my mother, father and sister for the occasion of my sister's son mundan (First Hair Cut). The clothes were worth 5400 and meant a lot lot lot more to my family as it was a matter of family pride and it was also my first gift to them.

As me being the youngest and having just got a job it was my first and most precious gift to one and all "MY Parents" which never reached them. Thanks for the negligence from DTDC.

I faced a lot of shame and defamation in my sisters family and other relatives as well. As my parents had already told them about me sending a gift they were ashamed as well. Me and my family were treated as if we were liers with a lot of murmurring going around during the occasion. Relatives got their chance and my 65 year old parents had their eye filled with tears. I regret using DTDC and would never think of using it again. this was the first time I had to face so much without any fault of mine.

My father Mr. Vachaspati Mishra went several times to the DTDC nearest office from Indraprastha extn. 2 to inquire about the package but never got a proper response.

I have myself spent a lot of time and money calling the following persons from DTDC.
1. Mr. Rakesh (From Booking office, Pune Satara Road)
2. Mr. David (From Pune DTDC head office)
3. Mr. Piyush (From Delhi DTDC Office)

I have done whatever i could to get the matter solved outside the court but their continual ignorance has left me with no option but to go through our legal system.

I wish to claim for a compensation of 4 lakhs if not more:

Courier Cherges: 290/=
Telephone bill: 1500/=
Internet usage and travelling: 250/=
office leave(597.2 * 3): 1791/=
Sub total: 9231/=
Exemplary Damages:
For Ignorance and Fraud (10*9231) : 92310/=
