Sir,

One of my claint had availed a term loan from IDBI during 1996-97 subsequently the account become bad and suit was filed in DRT during 2004, immediately after filing the suit my claint have liquidated the dues through a compromise proposal agreed by IDBI [hair cut was taken by IDBI]. I was told that after seven years from the date of notifying the name with Cibil, the name can be removed now. If so let me know the process to enable me to take forward.

I am CHANDRA SHEKHAR BHATT residing in Ghaziabad, I have taken the personel loans from CITI bank & full and final settlement done the bank has issued me a full and final settlement letters.
Now the problem is my name is defaulter list in CIBIL report. Because I am not able to get any loan from bank. I am already discussed with CIBIL They are saying we can't modify any information in the database without the concerned member confirming the same. It is responsibility of the concerned member to submit correct,updated and accurate credit information to CIBIL.
I am already informed to concerned in CITI branch. But still it is not updated to CIBIL.
Please give suggestion for my problem.and what is my next step.

Since so many times I gone to different banks for the removal of my name from the cibil list but banks are not ready to help me whenever I apply for the loan it gets reject,Just I want to know whether the banks are going to clarify with me regarding my name in defaulter or not,If it will solve then I am hepful and if not I had to get suicide I did the mistake but I want to rectify and live a life peacefully but this banks are not helpful to me. So please suggest me how should I get remove from the list.

iam moin ahmed. i had approached Debt Doctor in bangalore and they helped me clear certain CIBIL issues. this was in year 2009

i had applied for a loan later and got it and iam regularly paying it .Inspite of me paying up all installments RBS where I had loan Put some additional charges on me.
On writing to them they reversed the charges promtly.

as iam presently in mumbai recently I again applied for personal loan with SBI. To my surprise SBI states that there is again some problem in CIBIL.
i asked RBS and they said they have not done any damage to my credit rating.

now on investigating the whole picture came to light.
someone else who had a similiar name as mine moin ahmed had availed loan and not paid up at ICICI as there was no data cibil conviniently used my name and pancard number and listed me as defaulter.

i was depressed and very upset as for last 4 months i didnt get loans from private banks and approached national bank like Sbi.

now sbi told me that I can get loan and charged me 4,000 plus as processing fee.
at the end of it they state that they saw my name in cibil and thus cant give loan to me.

my question was if SBI is also member at cibil couldnt they check and access my cibil when i had given my details to them. why did they charge me processing fee and now they denied the loan to me.

a month back i approached one person called soans from allied law in mumbai.

thru consumercourt.in i approached b.n.soans and I filed at consumercourt in mumbai

i had to spend 6,000 towards legal fee .

iam very glad i met b.n. soans who guided me to claim damage from cibil for wrongly displaying my name at cibil.

i had claimed damages as per mr.soans advice which was 6 times net take home salary.

the hon.court granted me a damage claim of 4 times my net take home and i recieved 3,20,000 as damages from cibil.

i realised cibil is just a website owner which these private banks have made a big issue.
i thought i will have to pay a bomb and come out of cibil.
also a question the court took into consideration was my contention on how can cibil a website owner post wrong credit rating in my name. who are they.
and its fine they published my name in cibil but then for me to access my own data i have to pay cibil 400 plus rupees.

cibil is unfair in its practises .how can some bank send my name to cibil and cibil without verifying whether iam a defaulter or not put me as defaulter at cibil.
then when i wanted to access my own detail i need to pay 400.

this activity of cibil is because cibil and private banks together know that many consumers like us cant come out of cibil.

we all suffer and when we need loan we dont get loan unless we guys relent to demands of bank and cibil. this is sarasar blackmailing by banks and cibil.

i thank b.n.soans of alliedlaw ,mumbai for helping me so much.

by spending 6,000 i thought i will get justice. i not only got justice i also got damage claim 4 times my net take homesalary.

now i neednt borrow a personal loan also. i wanted loan of 2 lakhs. now Cibil paid me 3,20,000

i request all my friends here at net - not be scared of CIBIL
cibil is something that we all as a combined consumers start boycotting.

cibil is a money making machanism for cibil itself and private banks

cibil according to the judgement is not a body recognised by rbi.
the observations of the court also ordered all banks who are members of cibil should 1st send a registered hardcopy notice to any borrower before classifying them as defaulter.
without banks informing their borrowers banks cant directly send details against the borrower and upload their credit status as defaulter at cibil.

iam writing here so that none of us should be scared of cibil . we should meet right persons at the locations like debt doctor in bangalore and mr.soans of alliedlaw mumbai who are there to help victims of cibil like us.

they are not agents.they are registered firm . we also got help to get cibil cleared.

this is some person who is trying to defame honest people who help consumers like us.
