Dear Citi Finance: I have come upon a difficulty with the branch office here in Owen Sound, Ontario. About a month or so I found out from my bank that an amount of $1623.00 under the name of myself to citifinance is in the area credit bureau. I was shocked. My late husband had paid this amount approximately a bit more of 2 years ago. Due to the fact he has passed away I'm having his bank investigate for this figure amount as paid. I myself know it was paid. Why would citifinance do this? The Owen Sound branch is the only branch I have ever dealth with. I cannot get any verification from them. Now, I still have to pay for costs to the bank in the investigation. I presently do have an account with citibank but am so depressed with what has happened and now wondering if I'm paying double all along?
