Hi all,

I have a taken a personal loan from HDFC bank few years back for 1.5lakhs. Few months back i have applied for a personal loan with AXIS bank, which also informed me that it will take all my existing loans (Balance Transfer). I got a call from HDFC bank (after applying loan with AXIS) saying that they will topup my existing loan amount. Since i was in dire need of cash and AXIS bank took almost 1 month to process my application, i applied loan with HDFC Bank (topup). I got it processesed within 2 days and got money in my account.

Soon after i got loan from HDFC bank(with new loan account number) , AXIS bank also has disbursed my loan amount (with DD for my existing loan account towards HDFC Bank).

Now iam unable to close my personal loan account with HDFC bank with the DD provided by AXIS bank, since AXIS bank has issued a DD with my old loan account number.

Please help me solve this problem.

Will i be able to return the DD to AXIS bank and ask the AXIS bank to reissue a DD or Cheque addressed to me ?
