Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing from Chicago after receiving a frantic call from my mother in Hyderabad. She told me that some recovery agents of ICICI have been harassing her for a couple of months about my brother’s personal loan LPHYD00009171803. Apparently, there is about INR. 60,000 left to be paid. My mother explained the situation, where my brother is a student in New Zealand now and hardly able to support himself. She is barely able to run the house with her salary, being a widow.

She also begged them to give her time and that she would pay the installments until she can clear the total outstanding at once. This month she delayed the payment since it was only a week or more since she paid the last installment. To this, the agent yelled at her with language and attitude that no middle class government official would be able to hear. Then, he banged the phone down THREATENING her to file the case in a CRIMINAL COURT!!! And in a week she received a summon letter from Lok Adalat that says 'criminal courts' in the address. Her voice was literally quivering while talking to me.

My mother is a heart patient (with 3 hospital admissions) and has a long standing history of high blood pressure. I am not able to help her since the time of economic crisis in US. I am jobless and depending on my past savings for meager survival. As an Indian, fellow citizen, and a worried son, I desperately solicit your kind help in this matter. All we need is time, may be 6 months to an year and we will clear everything. In the meantime, please make sure they won’t kill my mother. Needless to say, most of our humble Indian govt. officials survive on respect and peace of mind.

You can file a police complaint against recovery agency/agents.

We suggest you to contact to Loan Manager, he may help you in this regards.
