    Default Barclays Bank's torture

    Dear Sir
    My name is RAJESH RANJAN and my Barclays Bank credit card no. is 4339484278529763. On August 2008 Bank had offered me Rs. 20,000 loan against credit card for two years at Rs 902 EMI. I agreed and after getting bank draft I had been offered to convert this EMI into ECS. Getting my nod next day bank executive came to me and filled the form. I signed on paper whereever he marked. My ECS been deducted every month regularly. This was never bounced. After three months I was informed to pay Rs 3602.19 immediately. I was shocked and contacted call centre but bank executive disappointed me asking to pay the ammount. He told that my EMI is Rs 1028 and not Rs 902. So to avoid any embarrasing sitution I continued to pay cash amount every month except ECS since then every executive assured me to solve the problem and revert the late fine chrages but noone fulfill his promise. I told them to cancel previous ECS and fill new ECS of Rs 1028 if this type of problem occured. But I think they targeted the customers as golden eggs because whenever I asked them for settlement and I want to pay the total loan ammount at one time they never showed interest in it because I was not agreed to pay late fine charge. Without my default they charges me extra amount every month and tortoured me to pay minimum due. I dont understand how it is possible that still I had to pay total outstanding Rs.19889.87. I had already written them ''I am not responsible for any default and any mistake and I will never pay late fine charges ''. So why I have to pay late payment fee.I paid 14 EMI and except that I paid 10 times cash and cheque. If my calculation is right I paid more than Rs 20k. If I am wrong why dont they send me statement of balance and amount paid by me. They only sent me outstatement balance and in each statement they added the late payment charges which is not justifiable. Furthermore, last month (Dec.2009) too I paid cash payment Rs 1121 their executive on 17 dec. But I will never pay in future if their response not satisfy me. Plz solve my problem to avoid my anguish. The bank everyday calls me 10 to 15 times and reiterates to pay the ammount.

    Hello,

    This is what we called poor and pathetic services, I suggest you to send a written notice to the CMD of the Barclays Bank, mention all the details in it and ask them to waive off all the unnecessary charges within the mentioned time of 15-20 days else you will knock the consumer forum against them.

    Loan settlement is not the solution, always pay your bill on time.

    Default Regarding Personal Loan

    Sir / Madam,

    My wife had taken a Personal Loan from Barclay's bank, she made her
    payments regularly for 1 year, On October '09 she delivered a baby and she
    was in bed rest for 5-6 months before her delivery as per the doctor's
    advice.

    Now i am receiving a call from the bank person stating tat i have to make
    the payment otherwise a warrant will be issues against my wife.
    Where in i requested the bank to re-schedule the payment. Please let me know
    what can i do? Wat can i do if i receive a warrant?

    Default cheat by Barclays Bank

    Dear Sir,
    I Have take a Loan from Barclays bank of Rs 72,000 from April 2008 and I have been regularly paying the EMI'S on time through ECS however, it has happened two three times that I was not able to deposit the money in My HDFC bank account on time that is before 5th of every month due to some reason and ecs bounced but I have made sure that ECS get clear in next attempt i.e on 11th of that month itself however, Barclays bank is charging me Rs 556/- for delay of just 6 days. Are they legally eligible to charge me such a hefty amount. now they have sent me a statement to pay Rs 3256/- I have emailed them to reverse the charges and also sent a letter to the manager of the bank loan dept. But I have not recived the reply from them yet. I had sent the email on 26th jan 2010 and reminder email on 9th feb and a letter on 12th feb but no response from.

    Question Harassment by barclays bank for personal loan settlement

    I have taken a personal loan from barclays bank for Rs 450000, and iam due seven months installments. my intention is to settle the amount within a period of one month once i receive funds from outside. i have lost the job eight months back and iam unable to meet the emi requirements. i have been speaking to the settlement person appointed by the bank but he abuses me by his filthy langauage.

    can anybody help me out with this.
    1. after settlement will cibil still hold the records with bad credit rating.
    2. what will happen in this course of one month time befor i make the settlement (police case)
    3. what is the process to negotiate with the bank for settlement

    Default compaint against Barclay bank

    i have a credit card of barclay bank.unfortunetly last may i have lost my job and rihgt now i am jobless.Barclays banks executive told me my outstanding balance is 15000.and than i paid 4000 this feb-2010.i said to him please close my Ecs account than they charged for closing.and now bank calls me and torture me and said that your outstanding amount is 33000, with some charges.sir we need ur help how to solve this problem .

    Thumbs down Torchure by Barclay's Bank and credit card collections agents

    Dear Team,

    This is Sathish Harikrishnan holding a personal loan in Barclays Bank. I was not able to pay on EMI but assured that will be paid by month end, but the response from the collection agents was horrible, they keep questioning about the personal of customers. Is it the manner Barclay bank collect their due from the customer. Please train your local collecting agent to treat the customer decent and not locally. I also hold a credit card which was told by an executive named Mr.Deva Prakash that my card outstanding 4339 4859 7412 7869 was Rs.11000 and odd. He asked me to make payment asap.I didnt have sufficient fund so paid Rs.5300 and assured the rest will be paid next month. Meanwhile received next month bill with outstanding as Rs.13000 in the place place of 6000+. I tried contacting the executive but he didnt show any response on this. Will the collecting agent give false details to collect their dues at that time and then leave the customer to suffer like this. Please advise or train the local collection agent teams to have a care over the customers need and respond time to get their dues settled. There are many instance heard by me that due to the behavior of local collection agents dues are still not paid. please take care of customers. Dont think customers are slave of your bank as they are due for your loan and credit cards. If there is proper response my credit card due will be settled once for all. Please take.
