    Default Personal Loan Harrasment from Chennai HSBC Agents

    Dear Sir,

    I need your help on the problem which i am facing now.

    I have taken a personal loan from HSBC in the month of
    Dec 2007 for 184000 for the tenure of 48 months and with
    the interest of 18.99% PA. EMI amount 5501.

    Since I had faced unemployement from the month of
    June 09 to Oct 09, I had several problems with regard
    to the debts and expenses all other things but some
    how managing.

    For the month of Dec09 - I was unable to arrange the amount
    for the emi amount and ECS got bounced, for which I am
    trying hard to make the payment but i was not able to do
    so.. mean while i am getting calls from Chennai not sure
    who are they - are really from HSBC or some Agents
    really harassing me for the payment ..which i skipped for one
    month..calling me on daily basis ..and harassing me speaking
    in rough and tough tone ..making me fear..

    Some where between Jan 2010 1st week I got call
    from Bangalore branch of hsbc not sure about that but somebody
    by name Suresh legal dept. called me and ask me to make payment for the
    skipped month Dec09 and hold for Jan2010 till i arrange ..it
    I also felt it good but asked about the ECS which will bounce..
    which I already made arranged fund for Jan2010 EMI..
    he told no problem we will keep on hold..and even we will
    not put any charges..I agreed and payed in cash on the same day..

    Later when ECS date passed and hit to my bank a/c and bounced
    i was disappointed..and thought let it be..its all my faith..i will
    pay it once i will arrange the fund by jan 25th ...even though
    got cheated from Suresh ... some how kept quite..
    but since yesterday 14th Jan 10 .. again i am receiving the calls
    and today its worst again..some body by name Arun from chennai
    hsbc..he is talking rashly..rough and tough ..asking me to pay ..
    asking my address...and all..literally harassing me..even i explained
    him about what i have been through..

    Please advise me / help me on my issue.

    Default Solution to Your Issue

    Dear Mahendra,

    Read you post. I am sorry that you are in a critical financial Position. May god help you, if you cant think. You are a guy for heaven sake. Hmmmm...

    Alright. Lets keep it simple. Next time you get a call and someone tries to Harass you, Use the following Tricks.

    1. Ask for their name and official contact number.
    2. Speak boldly and take control of the call. (raise you tone if you have to)
    3. Tell him you situation in short.
    4. If he speaks rudely to you, tell him to call you back again, so that you can record the call.
    5. Ask for his badge or Employee number.
    6. Ask whether he is calling from bank or a DSA.
    7. If he speaks roughly, demand that you speak to his supervisor.
    8. Ask him to come to a nearby police station, so that you can settle it there.
    9. Tell him that he is just a representative, and he is not the owner of the Bank and ask him to chill out.
    10. Tell him that you have already spoken to the Call center about skipping the payment for that particular month and if he still bugs you, tell him to call the customer care and confirm it by himself.( He cant do it)

    P.S TRY TO REPAY YOUR DUES ON TIME...

    I am specialist in settlement , have resolved more than 1572 cases .Credit card debth will be taken care and highest waiver possible .
    Any personal loan issues also do not hesitate to contact me.

    You should know your right ,Collection Agents are not supposed to Harass or annoy the defaulters however chronic the default be.

    I am trying to help my citizens to fall in trap and thankyou to Consumer Court team for giving me this platform .
