Hi Gaurav,
I would like to tell you something just for the sake of Information...
My Mobile bill is having ECS mode of payment from my salary account.
One month my bill came to be around 3500 and I was not having sufficient funds in my account So I payed the bill thru CC one day B4 my last date of payment.
5-6 days afterwards I got my salary and around 350 rs directly had been deducted from my account for ECS reversal charges from Vodafone. I called customer care and told them that I had made the payment b4 the day of the ECS deduction So the charges should not be deducted.
Then they told me that whenever you give ECS mode of payment the respective service provider gives the Claim for the ECS 2 days prior to the date of ECS deduction and at the same time sends you a msg to keep your account sufficiently funded One day prior to the deduction so that It may not bounce.
If it anyhow bounces then after a week or so they again try to deduct the money.
Most of the companies gives only 3 attempts to deduct the money and after that they just file a case and ask you to pay the whole amount or amount with further fine charges.
If in between the attempts you anyhow pay the bill/charge then they stop making attempts but your ECS reversal charges will not be reimbursed anyhow..
So In your Case, You can ask them to reverse your Insurance charges but they will not reimburse your ECS reversal charges...
BEST OF LUCK for your case.
