This is Regarding the Lost of Passport By Postal Dept
Sir , I had Applied for the Passport @ Chennai Office on 19-11-2010 on a
Taatkal Scheme.
The Passport came to my Address on 30-11-2010 through Post , But Due to my
Absence @ Home it was not Given
to my Mother & Taken Back by the Postman.
When i Went to the Post Office on 03-12-2010 and Asked about My Passport ,
They Said it Was Lost by the Post Man
on 01.12.2010, But No Intimation was Given to me or to my Address Regarding
the Lost of Passport by the Postal Dept.
I had Registered a Complaint @ the Head Post office to the
Superintendent@Kanchipuram,Acknowledgment of the
Name: Kannammal.G
Ref NO: MASB03942510
Based on the above complaint to the Postal Dept . I have received a letter from the Post Office informing my Passport was lost and could not be traced. Also a Copy of the letter has been sent to the Regional Passport Office. Hence I have took the letter to the Passport Office to apply re-issue of the passport. But I have been informed by the Regional Passport Office that the letter given by the Postal Dept is not sufficient to re-issue the passport and they require a FIR Copy from the Postal Dept regarding the lost passport. Hence I contacted the Superintendant of Post Office Kanchipuram to get the same but they has informed that as per the rules for Postal Dept, its not required to get the FIR and as per their rules they have informed the Addressee (Regional Passport Office) regarding the Lost Passport. Hence all they could give is the letter which states that the Passport (article) is lost.
But, as you may aware that due to urgency only I have applied the passport in Tatkaal Scheme, but now I have been walking between Post Office and Passport Office for the Passport which has been lost by YOUR DEPARTMENT. I am not sure when I will get the Passport and due to this I have losed my abroad carrier oppurtunity which I have been waiting for a long period.
Hence I would require an immediate resolution for this with My Passport and Compensation for my LOST OPPURTUNITY.
PLEASE TREAT THIS EMAIL AS A COMPLAINT LETTER AGAINST THE POSTAL DEPT AND TAKE AN IMMEDIATE ACTION IN GETTING MY PASSPORT IMMEDIATELY.
