i have applied for a fresh passport in august 2009 All the verification part has been done 4 months back.
after that i was checking the status in passport site it was showing that passport will be delivered in next one week , i have not received any passport till date even i am not able to see the current status as it is showing "invalid application no".

I have applied for passport in year 2007 with ref-no A-090867(or A090867) year 2007. There was a police enquiry and more then 2 years have passed no passport issue, no letter showing what happened to my passport, no status it is showing to status page.I want to know why this too much delay to my issue of passport.

During this 2 and half years I have been to Patna passport office. they said re-enquiry needs to be done.i submitted the re-enquiry form there 2 times. Everytime getting the assurance that police re-enquiry will come soon.But no re enquiry has been done.
In february someone told me to file RTI. i filoled a RTI in which the regional passort officer Mr. Sudhakar rastogi has written that in police enquiry shows your information is incomplete.you need to produce you address verification.
As during police enquiry I was away from home town.
On this reply I filled a re-enquiry form and attached xerox copy of all the details that showing my permanent address
which is as follows
Pan card
voter id card
Income tax filling form
Address proof issued by my organization as they have also done the back ground checking before giving joining to me.
domicile certificate.
Driving license

and send these to Mr Sudhakar Rastogi, Supritendant of passport office. But still 2 month has passed no more action.

In september it will complete 3 years and I got panic with this ir-responsibilty of passport office.

Apart from this the mail id grv.jscpv@mea.gov.in given I had mailed I remember in last 2 and half years more than 20 times but no action has been taken.

If you could do some favour, I request please help.

I'm Uma. I've applied my passport at eseva office on 07-05-2010. Police verification reports submitted at passport office on 18.06.2010 but still my status is showing as police reports not been recieved. When the status change and when do i get my passport. Every day we have been listening N number of complaint about Hyderabad passport process and the bribary part. If you watch any local TV channel Hyderabad passport issue has become a hot topic.
Is there any end for this or not. What type of action you people are going to take agains delay and Illegal practices at Hyderabad passport office.

Finally when can i except my passport.

I have submitted my wife's Smt. shweta gupta and minor daughter's Miss Dhruvi gupta passport applications on 17/12/2009 under File Reference No. JPR-W292649-09 and JPR-W292650-09 respectively, till date it is showing the status of pending due to "Police Report is incomplete and case is being examined", where as the fact is that an police officer from police station,purani abadi, sriganganagar, Rajasthan have already verified from the present address residing since 17/8/2005 and 07/4/2007 respectively (more than 1 year) on feb,2010 and police CID division from Srinivas Puri Police station, New Delhi already visited my permanent house address twice (feb & June,2010) and verified the documents.

As desired by the passport office,I have resubmitted personal particulars forms (in duplicate) on 18/5/10 & written a reminder on 17/6/10 to the passport officer, Jaipur by Speed Post A.D no.ER718099614IN dated 17/6/10. As nearly 7months have lapsed but still not received the passports.

Request Passport office Kindly to advise the exact Time Frames (TAT- Turn around Time) required for the each process .

1. Time taken by Police to visit your house for verification after submission of Application at passport office.
2. Time taken by police to submit the report after verification of individual and updation of the same by passport office on their website.
3. Total time consumed for the Issuance of the passport to an Individual by passport office following all processes and procedures.

When i check the Passport status it shows "Received police verification, send for further process". this status is there for almost one month. Does it take 90 days for issueing a fresh passport. Why is India lagging like this. When will i get my wife's passport?? 90 days ooofs cannot imagine, why do they commit telling it takes 30-40 days for fresh passport issue?? when it is taking minimum 90 days. My wife already deposited 3 personal particular forms in Delhi passport office and as per our knowledge her home town Kanpur enquiry has been conducted and they sent the verification report to Delhi passport office one week before. My brother in-law checked with RPO of Delhi today 27.07.2010, he informed his that, they didn’t received Kanpur verification yet.

I am mentally disturbed due to delay of my wife passport. I don’t understand Why Delhi passport office take so much time to issue new passport. Infect all process is done at our end. I drop more then 15-16 E-mails to CPO and RPO but that is useless, am not getting any positive response both of them.

Therefore it is my humble request to Chief Passport Officer and Regional Passport Officer without any more delay, please issue her new passport, so that she can join me in Muscat.

But still now I have not received any update on this, not sure where it got stuck. Please help....
As well I have write to RPO Kolkata & PG, to give my money (Registration Fees of Rs.1000/-) back. If that is also not possible I requested them to confirm me whether this amount can be adjusted with TATKAAL application, if so then I can reapply for passport through TATKAAL scheme.
At least I can avoid harrassment from PVR Officer of DIB Hooghly.
