Hi,

I have applied my son’s passport on 20-Aug-2010 (File Reference Number BPL-C003486 ) under the tatkal category with fees (1500 + 600 = 2100 ). So I am expecting the passport to be dispatched within 1-7 days of the date of Application (20-Aug-2010) but on the website, the status is showing as “Passport is expected to be dispatched by 03-09-2010 Subject to all documents being in order”.

I also met passport officer on 20-Aug-2010 and she assured me that passport will be dispatched by 26-Aug-2010. But till now I haven't received the passport for my son.

I was continuously trying to contact RPO, Bhopal at the number 0755-2775927, 0755- 2775660 but no one is ready to pick the phone. I tried to contact via email but replay from RPO Bhopal side. I finally contacted at CHIEF PASSPORT OFFICE at 91-11-23384519, 91-11-23384497 on 30-Aug and they told me that your request will be forwarded to RPO Bhopal. I then waited for 2 days but didn't recieved any communication from the passport officer. I, then, again contacted at chief passport office and they told me that we will forward your complaint to RPO, Bhopal. They also gave the complaint number : PRO/PG/3997/10 and told me that we couldn't do anything else from my side. You have to wait until we receive any communication from RPO Bhopal and generally, the we get the reponse in 2 week time.

I need the passport urgently as i have to travel abroad in early september for an assignment otherwise it will be of no use and it will be a big loss to me both finantially and career wise.
