HUL PureIt purifier I had registsred a complaint in Hindustan Unilever helpdesk for the replacement of Battery in PureIt which is been purchased by my friend in the month of nov 08 & given as a gift to me.... The formalities of changing the owner name & contact details were already been completed by me.....
The unit is been installed in the month of Dec 08 & the HUL technician has given us the demo & told that battery normally work for 6-8 month....
15 days back, the battery indiaction has shown that it needs to replaced (in 4 months only) & accordingly i had registered the complaint on 11.04.09 and spoken to Mr. Aniket.... During the discussion he has told me that the battery needs to be replaced & will be charged... for which my argument was during the warranty period any problem in the unit has to resolved FREE OF COST & then he has agreed & commited that technician will visit on 13.4.09 and will replace the battery without any charge (complaint no.3091035018)....
Mr. Vishal (technicain) called me on sunday & said that the battery is not available with him & so he will come on monday with the same.... nobody had visited for 2 days & so i had again called Hindustan Unilever Helpdesk on 15.04.09 & spoke to Ali Asagar... As per his committment Mr.Purushottam has visited my residence same day & replaced the battery... But he has given the invoice also for the same...
I had rejected to pay the amount as i have been given the committment by Hindustan Unilever's Helpdesk that it will be replaced without any charge....
Then I spoke to Mr. Raj (TEAM LEADER/MANAGER- helpdesk) & Mr. Ravindra (to whom purushottam reports) & I told the the whole story & then asper their committement to investigate the matter, we have come to the conlusion that i will pay the replacement charges now & after the total investigation if they agreed that there is a wrong committement/neglecense from Unilever's side then i will be given extra battery for the charges paid...

As per my discussion I sent mails to Hundustan Unilever & reminded 3 times due to no response...
Kindly please help me in this case, as i feel cheated by HUL... They have not stick to their committment by helpdesk person & not even by the managers...
