This is about Kenstar Vibrant cooler purchased in May 2007 it worked fine (it’s really vibrant!! it used to make lot of noise always) till 2 days back when it literally became useless as the fan-moving part started vibrating and hitting the front grill making unbearable noise it sounded as if it would explode anytime.

We checked with local electrician and he reported the fan needs replacement since the bush is broken etc, and directed to ask Kenstar service only since it is custom made fan.

We called, called pleaded the Kenstar service centre and after 2 days finally managed to convince one gentleman to come to our apartment to inspect the faulty equipment.

It took him only a minute to tell us that the fan requires replacement, and told us we should take the unit to their service centre in Hyderguda (Hyderabad) the next day i.e. on Monday.

We are a working couple and explained our helplessness in doing so on working days and spoke to their Manager in Kenstar service center and he said

1) At the moment they do not have the fan in stock would take at least 1 working day
2) We pleaded to do something alternative as the heat is unbearable, then started the fun.... we are their slaves you see he started abusing (The person who visited and the manager were both very indifferent from the outset) but this was unthinkable. The Manager 'Mallikarjun' by name started abusing us on the phone saying you are not the only customer; we have better business to attend.

Firstly they tell us it’s our problem and we need to take the unit for any further repairs, and then this tamasha of abusing us and speaking rudely and the Person was least bothered and told you can go ahead and complain.

It’s important to note that we paid approx Rs 4,200 and purchased their product and here we are pleading them and in return getting indifferent (at best) to rude behavior and worse still no solution.

We work Mon-Fri and it is impossible for us to take the unit and above and all this irresponsible behavior, it’s just not done.
