We had bought an Aqua Guard water purifier from Eureka Forbes, mainly based on their advertisement. Which I now realise is very misleading.
Initially we had no problems, mainly because the product was supplied through a friend.
We have a service contract which is valid till September 2009.
In August 2008(when I came back home, from abroad) after seeing that there was no proper flow from the unit, I called up the local agent(Kotayam-Kerala) for the routine service. I was informed by my parents that the last service was also not done and also the service people was not responding to any calls. After waiting for a few days, I called again and used a few strong words, after which they promised to come. A few days later a gentleman from the service(Safe Way-Kottayam)turned up & after inspecting the unit, came up with a story that he was not the right person for this product and he would be sending someone else very soon. No one has so far come, even after several calls. I even sent a registered letter to them to which also there was no reply/action. I have also written(registered post) to the Service HOs of Eureka Forbes in Bangalore and Kolkatta. They have also not responded so far.
The unit is not working at all now, and I am now forced to buy drinking water for our everyday use. Please advice on what can be done.
