Dear Sir,

Can any one suggest how to handle the below case !!

Any consumer durable goods like washing Machine , Air Conditioners
when problem occures after expiry of the warranty period,say after
two years, when we call for attending the complaint, they will come
and attend the problem. If the problem persists bigger extend service
provider will wash their hand saying it is not in " Warranty " and it
is chargable. SOme time service provider also try to collect extra
amount by doing this kind of preplane.

Whether or not it is the responcibility of the service provider bring
our notice about the expiry of the warranty period ?

In case if he not brought our notice what is the remedy ?

Trying to collect extra amount by this kind of planed arragement Is
this is unfair trade practice ?

Any suggestions please ....
