Default original bill was teared into pieces

    Dear sir/madam

I bought a DDR 512MB-RAM on 15th jan.2009 from DIRECT ADVANTAGE, 103, VISHAL BHAWAN, 95, NEHRU PALACE, NEW DELHI-110019 with 3 year warranty.

I found that new RAM was not working, i visited the shop again and after 2 more visits i was handed over with a very old RAM with a date 19-01-2008, when i hasitated a new date was mentioned by assuring me that if any problem occurs in future, this new date 10-1-2009 will be considered.

now after six months RAM is not working.

This time when i visited the shop on 30th august 2009, the person refused to change the RAM by saying that this RAM does not belong to his shop. I offered him the original bill of ram which was teared into pieces by the salesperson. when i asked for the pices of teared bill,he gave me a new printed bill and said we will not change the RAM, DO whatever you can.

this ram is still having a replacement warranty of more than 2 years.

I have bought a new ram from other shop. I dont need anything but a strict panelty by consumer court so that this kind of behaviour could be stopped.

if a person can tear the original bill into pieces and nothing can be done who will believe in consumer courts.

Default APC does not honour warranty

I bought an APC UPS for my computer system. From day one it sounded a red alarm and sent a message "Battery Backup is overloaded". But the system was using only around 72 watts of power. The UPS is meant to use for a max of 390 watts. When contacted APC, they said that this could be a software problem with their Personal ****e Software. But I still have the problem. When complained they refused to replace it with new unit. But they have given a replace/repair warranty. They said they will replace it only with a reconditioned unit(unit which has a manufacturing defect and returned by other customer). Inspite of repeatedly explaining to them, they refused to replace it with a new unit. They are sending a reconditioned unit. The reconditioned unit, might still have the problems faced by the customer who returned. The battery condition might be bad, because we do not know in what condition the battery is when the customer returned it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND APC UPS SYSTEMS TO ANYONE. FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE PLEASE DO NOT GO IN FOR APC. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALL VERY POOR.
