    Unhappy Faulty pen drive

    I have purchased a KINGSTON 8 GB PEN DRIVE from Computer Villa, Neelam Bata Road, Faridabad in October 2008. The pen drive was submitted to them in December 2008 because there was problem in copying data from one system to another. They assured a replacement for the pen drive in 2 weeks, but now six months have passed and still I don't have the replacement. They says that they will replace it as soon as possible. I think that they are not willing to replace it. What should I do now to get the replacement?

    Default Defective Pen Drive - Transcent 8GB

    I bought a JetFash V10 (8 GB) from a Retailer in Karaikal (Address: I. T. Shope, A To Z Computer Show Room, Karaikal) and I am enclosing herewith a copy of their Bill for your reference. On opening the packing, I tried to access the drive with my Computer System under Windows XP environment, but it did not work and came out with an error “there is no disk in the drive”. Immediately I contacted the above-said local dealer and I was told that he would not be held responsible after opening the packing. This is totally unacceptable because how can I access the drive without opening the packing? The local dealer did not respond to me properly and he has to either repair the drive or give me a replacement. Being a student, I spent Rs.1,100/- on this and the entire money has gone waste without any use. Moreover, Since I did not get proper response from the dealer, it has caused mental agony to me. The reason why I am contacting you after 8 months of purchase is that I was constantly in touch with the dealer as to whether he would do something to this, but all in vain.

    I will have no other alternative but to refer the matter to Consumer Court in Pondicherry with all details, for recover of damage. Please help me.

    Dear Mr. Santosh,

    Have you sent any written complaint to the Dealer so far? If not, then send a written complaint to him. Give him a time frame of 10 to 15 days to provide you replacement or the refund. Do mention in your complaint letter that if the dealer is not going to provide you any solution within this time period, you are going to file a case against him in consumer forum. Send it through registered post and keep a copy of that letter with you.

    Default Complaint regarding the PEN Drive purchased and services promised

    Dear
    On 03/10/08 i purchased a usb disk ES801G (4 GB pen drive ) from the wazir
    pur computer market
    the prouduct i purchased came wht 3 years of warranty
    it is just one year and it got the problem as i insert it to any computer
    it starts getting hot and stops working while all other usb disk are working
    fine at same computer

    As per my warranty allows me to get is either repaired or replaced i visited
    your wazir pur service center but as wazir pur center i was not paid by
    any attention and got denied to get the services avialed
    When i asked about the mail address and other contact information to contact
    the senior authority for the same concern they also denied to give any
    details regarding that too
    the behaviour shown there was also not acceptable

    Under the consumer laws sections i am completely laible to get good and
    better service regarding the product which i have paid for which i have not
    found
    So i request you either pay me back the cost of the product or have a proper
    action to replace it
    also take car about the treatment offered to customers at your service
    center

    I am sending a copy of it to consumer court also just as notification

    Please take the action as early as possible as i am suffering both
    financialy and mentally in absense of the product

    Default pen drive

    Hello
    As per the discussion before i submitted the faulty usb disk to you wazir
    pur service center on 26 of August and got promised to get back the product
    within 15 days maximum, and also got promised to get inform either by call
    or mail for the exact time to get back the product.
    But i was not either called or mailed during the promised time, even when i
    called your service center they always kept me giving unsatisfactory anwers
    with future dates to give me the product back
    Even when i sent mail to service department i have got any attention on that
    and no reply has been sent on the same
    Still i have not got any of the proper response from service department

    As I am working as System Admin My complete work is completely dependent on
    these type of flash disk for the same task i purchased it also But instead
    that i faced a lot of inconvinience by service department side of considered
    product which is creating a hole in my proformance to company which has
    affected me financially and mentally,
    Recently i was trying to change the job and could not that in lack of device
    which i purchased it also affected my financial expection and became the
    cause of making unable to get the oppurtunity avialable there
    The many time i called and commuted the service center also got the expenses
    and time for the same

    *So As per consumer law allows me either to have a good service or a
    compensation amount *
    *Now I have decided to go to consumer court against the lose whch i had to
    face due to the product you gave and the service offered*
    *As Consumer court advices to go first the organization first i am sending a
    notification to you regarding that if you can take proper action on that
    please have it otherwise i will register a case against you for the same*
    *I will claim rs 1 Lakh for the loss i faced and also put a request to ban
    such company which are not true to their words, which cheat the customers by
    offering bad services or no service *
