I bought a JetFash V10 (8 GB) from a Retailer in Karaikal (Address: I. T. Shope, A To Z Computer Show Room, Karaikal) and I am enclosing herewith a copy of their Bill for your reference. On opening the packing, I tried to access the drive with my Computer System under Windows XP environment, but it did not work and came out with an error “there is no disk in the drive”. Immediately I contacted the above-said local dealer and I was told that he would not be held responsible after opening the packing. This is totally unacceptable because how can I access the drive without opening the packing? The local dealer did not respond to me properly and he has to either repair the drive or give me a replacement. Being a student, I spent Rs.1,100/- on this and the entire money has gone waste without any use. Moreover, Since I did not get proper response from the dealer, it has caused mental agony to me. The reason why I am contacting you after 8 months of purchase is that I was constantly in touch with the dealer as to whether he would do something to this, but all in vain.
I will have no other alternative but to refer the matter to Consumer Court in Pondicherry with all details, for recover of damage. Please help me.
