    Post Complaint Against IDEA Cellular Ltd.

    Subject : Regarding discrepancy in final settlement of Post Paid Mobile Bill vide Account No. 50409705.


    Good Day Sir,

    I Kamesher Nath Malhotra resident of H.No 3103/2 Naudha Mishar Street Near Darshani Gate Patiala, was subscriber of IDEA Connection (Mobile No. : 9855940073). After having discontinued the connection with IDEA, I had already paid the final amount of the bill amounting Rs. 1000/- as on 11-Nov-2008 vide receipt no. 54990. Since that period, I did not receive any notice or reminder with respect to any of the dues outstanding with IDEA. Whereas on 30-Apr-2012, I got a call from Sub-Inspector Mr. Rathi (Mobile No. : 01132090968), who reported me that a FIR has been lodged against me for not making the final payment of Rs. 20,000/- outstanding as against my Mobile Account No. 50409705. He directed me to give call to Mr. Himant Kumar on his Cell Phone 098714-31580 to inquire about the pending amount of Rs. 20000/-. As per the conversation with Mr. Himant Kumar on his cell phone, he told me that an amount of Rs. 1326/- was pending since Nov-2008 which has been added up with miscellaneous charges and the final amount stands to be of Rs. 20000/-. I assured him that I will give him a receipt no. confirming the payment of final dues which was done in NOV-2008. Now I have found the final receipt which was obtained after making the final payment in Nov-2008. Nevertheless, since yesterday I have been trying to give a call to Mr. Himant Kumar on his cellphone, but he is not reachable as his phone is switched off. However, I have made a payment of additional Rs. 1200/- vide receipt no. 3581518 on 30-Apr-2012 with IDEA office at Patiala. Despite this, they did not provide me a “no dues certificate”.

    That’s how, I am being harassed by IDEA executives of Patiala Branch. Will appreciate if your goodself can look into this matter and get me “no dues certificate” in order to avoid the same happening in near future.

    An early action of yours will be highly appreciated.

    Default Deducted prepaid balance without any cause

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    I am the subscriber of Idea cellular net bearing no-9090697306 and recharge amount Rs.35.00 and power pus Rs.16.00 on date-30-04-2012.
    A-But I observed next day on date -01-05-2012 balance was Rs.28.00 without any call.
    B-Again I observed that my balance amount was deducted without my consent by sending one side commercial call by Idea which is illegal act.
    C-Therefore Idea communication net to be instructed to cease such illegal act and exalting customer by giving smooth and fair transaction.
    D-Hope My grievance to be settled and give message to again recharge for smooth communication.

    Angry Unfair Deductions and No Grievance

    Sir,

    I am an idea customer for last 5 years. This is regardig the same connection. I activated a GPRS pack of 28 rupees on my prepaid number +91-9990646638 on May 1. Which provides 600MB of data usage and is valid for a week. But on May 3 my balance start deducting because of this GPRS thing. When I noticed I called customer care and wished to registered my complaint they said call tomorrow and confirmed my recharge of 28 was successful. I called next day, the executive this time said you haven't done any recharge.When I asked this guy to forward my call to his senior executive he simply refused. I tried calling again but they debarred me from calling customer care. Next day I wished to register complaint with them, firstly they said yes you have recharged with 28 but your data usage exceeded limit, when I said I have a message from the same time from idea stating my 490MB of balance data remaining. He said we register your complaint of unfair deduction and activation problem with your GPRS pack and it will be resolved by 7th May 11:59AM. But no communication has been made from their side.

    They have a policy if i do a GPRS/3G recharge, it is automatically activated after 4 hours, whether i am provided with a confirmation message or not. Surprisingly I got activation of GPRS pack on 9th May for the recharge of 1st May.

    I want a refund of my 150 rupee deducted because of their negligence or system problem. Else I am planning to file a proper complaint in consumer court for harassment. They charge you 50p/3min and put you on hold for 10-12 minutes. In this whole process they wasted more than 2 hours charging at that rate. They also force you to listen to that horrible caller tune while you are on hold.

    Default Regarding discrepancy in final settlement.

    Sir/Ma'am,
    My brother Jagjit A Khandagale, had been a Idea Cellular service user(Mobile Number 9594047799), he is a ex Birla Sun Life Insurance employee. Since he had to move to Kolkata he wished to discontinue using the Idea Cellular service. I received a call from the Idea collection department in december regarding the non-payment of bill of around Rs. 900. I informed the agent, that Jagjit Khandagale wants to discontinue the service, the agent informed me that, in order to terminate the service all arrears need to be cleared first and only then the service will be terminated. I was told by this agent that, once i make the payment of arrears, the service will get deactivated. This happened around 12th of December 2011. Around 25th of December i made a payment of approximately Rs. 900 to clear all the dues on the service.
    After that i got no communication from Idea cellular. After two months that is in the month of March i started getting calls from the Idea collections department asking for a payment of Rs 700 for the bills for months of January and February, even though Jagjit Khandagale had long stopped using the service, because the customer care agent had said the service will be terminated as per request after the payment of oustanding dues. I had visited the Idea Gallery in Thane (w), to sort this issue, but i was informed there that i had to talk to collection department regarding the problem. I had a few calls from them, and i conveyed the grievance, that i am been asked to pay for the service which i did'nt even use. The calls from the collection department ceased. But on 14th May 2012, i got a call from Delhi Court, stating that a case will be filed against Jagjit Khandagale for the non-payment of bill. I/Jagjit Khandagale received no intimation in writing or otherwise, before the call on 14th May 2012. Jagjit Khandagale is summoned to Delhi court on the 15th May 2012, to attend the case. Please address this issue.

    Default 3G top-up on a 2G SIM with incompatible handset

    Last night my friend recharged my Idea mobile number (9494-8888-00) with a denomination of Rs.450. The top-up was done through SBI Internet Banking Application. The transaction Id is 030168665712 and the time of recharge is 22:40 Hrs, 16/05/2012.

    At the time of recharge, we were not aware that it is a 3G top-up plan. As a result, nil balance was credited to my mobile number. I did not understand know how a 3G top-up was successful on a 2G SIM and moreover, the phone is 3G incompatible.

    I wish to have either the equivalent 2G talk-time or a compete refund of the amount recharged.

    Angry Balance Deduction - without activation of any service

    Dear Consumer Court,
    My name is Sachin Kadam, I am writing to you. regarding idea mobile number +919011094488
    My balance Rs 193 has been deducted for using internet which was never advise by me to start any service.
    I have activated gprs pack of Rs 98 for which validity was over on 19/05/2012 and i m no longer having access of internet on 20/05/2012 morning, suddenly the internet access provided in the evening without informing me / without any pack activated and when i checked my balance Idea service provider have deducted Rs 193, which is totally fraud with me.
    Then i have called idea call center where i spoke to Mr Mahadev who really dont ready to understand my problem and only say we can not refund you, where his tone was really very rude. I need my Rs 193 balance which was never my fault.
    Hoping for a positive and quick responce else i have take some strict action on the same.

    Default chrges applied for unused GPRS service

    Reference to may 2012 bill amt 928 Rs

    It is observed that I have been charged Rs 634 for GPRS

    As I am and my home member not using GPRS service and I do not know to
    operate it still it is been charged to me. (on 14may12 time 22.11 to
    23.31 shown in bill).

    I am using Idea service from last 7 years, i never been asked for GPRS
    activation

    It is requested to investigate matter and chrarges to be cut from bill
    on top priority

    Default Deduction without agreed by me

    Idea cellular ltd have been deducted the amount Rs. 5.00 on dt. 30/05/2012 from my balance account without activated any services by me and no information given by company after deduction the money. I have call to company cotumer care after checking the balance account she replied that i have activated the VAS services but i have not activated any services. This type of problem comes frequently.

    Default Renewal of Skim offer Rs. 34 SMS pack of IDEA cellular

    Dear Sir/madam,
    My cell no. is 9714471222
    Idea cellular has deducted my 34 rs.for the sms pack renewal without intimating me, non of their customer care officers are ready to give me satisfied answer for the same.
    They sent me intimation that your sms pack of rs.34 will be renewed on 26.05.2012 through their inquiry no.*212*1# and when on 27.05.2012 I asked customer care officers for the same on telephone they replied me that there is no intimation is showing on the display for the renewal of the pack up to 01.06.2012,so I went to a retailer and started the new sms pack of Rs.34, after 3 days idea had renewed that old pack which was dew due on 26.05.2012 without intimating me. now i have two sms packs services on the same no.
    It is requested to investigate matter and refund my money in my account.
