We bought an Air Conditioner of Haire Company with a warranty period of 1 year in 2007. Of course, my AC is now out of warranty period but suddenly after the expiration of warranty period, the company approached us saying we should take an AMC of that company with Rs 1400 annually. With this AMC the company will be responsible for all the maintenance that AC requires. But since September 19, 2009, my AC is not working at all. We made several complaints to the coustomer care department of that company about this problem but they did nothing. We have already paid 1400 rupees for an AMC. What should i do now, please tell me.

Dear Mr. Kumar,

Kindly send a written complaint to the service centre. Give them a time frame of maximum 15 days to give you services in that time frame. Also mention that if they are not going to provide you any help in that time period, you are going to file your complaint in Consumer Forum against that Service Centre. Send a copy of that complaint letter to the Head Office of the Co. too.
