    Post Complaint against mahanagar gas limited

    I have paid Rs.6000/- in june 2010 for a new gas connection. Pipe line has been laid in a haphazad way. However no connection has been given till today although one year has elasped. Can you look into the matter personally. will be Complled to approach Consumer Court if not attented immeadieately. You may also visit our website for further details. Vol-6, issue24, 16-30 June.     Unhappy Wrong bill- first bill received without taking meter reading

    I, Sunita Kothuri , resident of Koper Khairane ,has received first bill through e-mail amounting to Rs 524/- for 15 days. I have received the Bill without the meter reading been taken by the executive. Bill # 201000111810 Dt 31-Oct-2011 is showing 24 units from 15-Oct-2011 to 31-Oct-2011 and in my house meter is showing 00004 as on 05-Nov-2011. It looks to be big SCAM of looting public money. Is ther anybody who can help me to resolve this or everybody is washingoff thier hands? . By looking at the other compliants, I feel that I have made a bigmistake of taking mahanaagar gas connection.I am thinking of giving it to news papers to publish, so that everyone knows about this type misdeeds.

    THE DAY BEGINNING I OBSERVED THAT SERVICES FROM MAHANAGARGAS ARE VERY VERY INFINITELY PATHETIC. VERY VERY BAD SERVICES. FULL OF MISMANAGEMENT.

    Default Wanting a Pipeline gas connection

    Hello Sir,

    I am Amrita Israni. I stay in Andheri. My current address is B/102, Sunder Park,Off Veera Desai Road. Jeevan Nagar. Andheri West. Mumbai 53. I have to shift in another flat in the same society. My society already has a Pipegas connection. The new connection that I require is in - B/408 Sunder Park, same society ;same Bldg.

    I have been asking for a pipeline gas connection application FORM since almost 6 months now. In July I first approached the Mahanagar pipeline gas office at Laxmi Industries Andheri. They informed me that they do not give the forms now, its the area agent that I have to call for a form. I immediately called the area agent and requested him for the same. He informed me that the forms are not available at the moment and will come in about 10 -12 working days.

    As I did not receive any response from him, I called the Mahanagar Pipegas Call Center number 26594500. My request no. is 780262 and my Temp BP No. (Prospect No.) is 1700026362. After calling 5-6 times ,I got a call back call from them that we have informed the areae into my new flat agent and he would get back on the same.

    When I recd a call , it was the same area agent that I had spoke before. He told me that we will get back to you. I am getting the same answer for the last 3 months. After 3 months asking for a bear minimum FORM, I have been rolled over to yet another person, who is said to be the area incharge. Its been a month more that I have been communicating with this new person in the chain asking for a Form, but in vain.

    They say that the process for a new pipegas connection takes about 2-3 months, whereas, here its been more than 5 months just asking for an Application FORM.

    I request you to please look into the matter and help me with the pipegas connection as soon as possible. Pipegas is the only reason coz of which I am unable to move into my new flat.

    This is to inform you that my MGL pipeline connection was started in January 2011 and only once the meter reader came for the reading. After that I have received the call from the reader asking me to give them the reading. As iam working when they call me iam not at home. Also I have undergone a spine surgery because of which I cannot climb up the platform to take readings and this matter I have reported to them. I am getting bills which are excessively charged. Is it not the responsibility and duty of the meter reader to do his duty on time? I hope they are being paid salary for this and it is none of my duty to give them the information. They are taking salary sitting at home, I think so.
    Kindly take necessary action against them. I hope atleast now onwards I will receive a proper bill.

    Unhappy Waiting for Mahanagar Gas connection fro 6 months

    We have applied and completed all the formalities for Mahanagar Gas connection on 5th June 2011 and being told that the connection will be done within 90 days. Almost all the flats have connections in our building. I am doing continuous follow-ups since past 6 months for connection to happen. I have been given different dates and many false commitments but till now I am clueless about the connection and waiting for them to call for the installation. Wrote many times to support@mahanagargas.com but they reply on their own wish with vague reply.

    Exclamation complaint against bill

    Dear Sir

    My BP No. is 1100350942 and CA no. is 210000367639.

    i always get a bill of rs. 500-600 but in this month it was showing 1918/- which is triple times more than avg. definitely there must be misreading because in this month we were out for 1 week means definitely it should be come less whatever i always i got but unfortunately picture is totally opposite it showing more than what i usually get i request u to please check the same even in my society people r not getting a bills for 4-5 months n i got so much when i pay regularly

    How to write the application for new connection ?

    Our bldg is registered now and the process of other compliance's are still going on. There are total 19 flats in our bldg out of that six are commercial and thirteen are residential. From these thirteen residential ten flat owners are ready to take new connection of gas pipeline.

    so now how to write a application for new connection?

    Please help me.

    I,had connection of Mahanager gas, our consumption in SCM 16 units, and your SCM Rate is 17.99. that means 16*17.99=287.84 ,but your charging 292.28 ,it is cleared that you are charging 4.44 more & vat@ 12.5% on 292.28.please adjust this amount in next bill.

    Default Delay in New Connection

    Dear sir,

    We have applied with application fee for new connection very long back. The form was collected by MNGL's representative. Then done piping to our society and to the flats who has filled the form and paid Rs.500/- application fee. Later, three months back, they collected Rs. 5000/- from each customer, from our society. Now most of the societies got connection since last month. Our society did not get connection till date. I followed up with concerned contracting party M/s. Anchor Offshore, cell no. 9321486846. I was told by them that there was some leakage problem in our society, and the same is solved and we will get connection within a week time. After one week, again I contacted them, then I was told that it will take one more week. After one week again I contated, then they told me that there is some labour problem, their work is going on in other site, it may take one month more. I tried to register complaint with MGNL, i did not get response form their customer care no. Wher to complaint? Please help. They have taken Rs. 5000/- from each, and they have not given connection till date for last three months? Who is accountable for the interest for these amount ?

    Please guide me for the action to be taken from my / my society's side.

    I have just moved into a new flat in Goregaon E in Gokuldham where you are providing a piped gas connection. In order to do the house renovation i had called up your customer service to come and disconnect the gas pipeline. The connection is no longer active as it was owned by the previous owner. I have lodged this complaint in November and still the pipe hasn't been removed. Everytime a i call the people say it will take 2 days and after 2 days nothing. My entire house work is incomplete because of that and this is a huge inconvenience. please rectify the same immediately.

    We the residents of Whispering No-4 have paid the deposit of Rs 6000 / - dated 23rd arch 2011 and are eagerly awaiting to enjoy the pipeline gas.

    MY FORM NO-AF-049401/10-11

    However we regret to inform you that till today i.e 3-1-2012 the matter is still lying idle. The societies near us where the work had started late are already enjoying the benefits of the gas.

    The main issue is while laying the underground pipes , the contractor failed to use the right mix of the cement and concrete and the patches are already worn out. This we had pointed to the contractor , Mr Ashtekar , but in vain. I had met him personally and explained this matter and he also seem to agree about the faulty patch work and promised to give us the required cement and concrete so that we ourselves could get this work done. We then agreed to give him the plans of the building so that the pipes could be fitted on the buildings. None of the contractors are picking up their mobiles and are not contactable.

    Unfortunately, I am one of the management committee member and all other members of the building who have paid since March 2011 are behind us for the connection and I have no answer for this silly matter.

    Regret to say that this is a sorry state of affairs. Hence I wish to ask you to look in to the matter urgently and ensure that the connection of pipe gas is done at the earliest

    Hi,

    I have filled the form on 28th Sept 2011 for getting the gas connection. After contacting several time, an Executive from Mahanagar collected the cheque from my home. The cheque got cleared on 14th November 2011. As per the rules the connection should be completed by 90 days, Atleast we expect a call for the status of my application.

    sir i have paid my chque on 22-11-2011 for new connection.but their is no response till today my complain no is 985265 in name of dewinder kumar go
    i have call serval time to mahanagar call center but their is only one answer we will do it as soon as possible
    so pls reply me soon when will i got my connection in my house?

    Default Wrong and excess billing by MGL - BP No. 110017401

    I refer to the various correspondence and telecon with MGL in connection with wrong billing. Inspite of various reminders and follow-ups, no action has been taken by MGL and hence this RTI.

    It may be noted that on 14th February, 2005, I vacated my flat at Building No. 11, Room No. 132, Yashomati CHS, Shell Colony, Chembur, Mumbai 400 071 as the building was taken up for redevelopment.

    On 14th February, 2005, the representative of MGL disconnected all connections and handed over the meter, copper pipe and regulator to me. The last reading on the meter is 462. It may be noted that I had opted for ECS through Indian Overseas Bank, Chembur Branch and bills were directly paid to MGL. As the ECS was stopped only after I found that MGL had raised bills in March, April and May, 2005, I informed the bankers to stop the payments. Thereby an excess amount of Rs. 1,262/- was deducted from my account for gas not used by me. Further, I started receiving exorbitant assumed bills from MGL.

    With continuous follow up with MGL, the matter was rectified at their end and a credit of Rs. 1,262/- was made on December, 2009 bill. Again from April, 2010 MGL started sending me assumed bill every alternate month and I was shocked to note that I owe MGL Rs. 3,404/- including interest upto date for non-payment of gas bill towards gas which is not being used by me. The closing meter reading shows 595 (E) as on 8th April, 2012.

    As such I would request you to take up the matter with MGL and ensure that credit of Rs. 1,262/- shown on MGL's Bill of December, 2010 is given to me and all the debits etc are duly rectified by them I have already registered my complaint vide complaint No. 1010951 on 21st February, 2012 (Mr. Rohan registered the same). Further, I followed up on telephone on 29th February, 2012 (Ms. Dinoo), 12th March, 2012 (Ms. Gauri), 4th April, 2012 (Ms. Shireen) and finally on 16th April, 2012 with Mr. Vicky Sharma.

    As no feedback is anticipated from MGL inspite of my vigorous followup, I would request the Consumer Court to take up this matter and ensure justice prevails.
