We had booked ten rooms at Hotel Kemps Corner, Mumbai for one day i April to lodge guests. Booking was done in advance of over 45 days with approx. 85% advance. after 1st april the hote claims it revised tariffs. we were not informed of the change/increase - even at time of check-in AND check-out. We paid the bill and the discrepancy came to my notice after comparing with other hotels bill (where we paid less for more rooms!)
How do i recover my money? the manager/owner a certain Mr. Sunder was very rude on phone and is not willing to meet me to discuss the matter. He feels that paying us 50% of the overcharged amount is enough. Is this legal? allowed? what can i do?
