    Angry Complaint against Club Mahindra

    1. We took membership of Club Mahindra on 11 Jan, 2008. The Marketing department of Club Mahindra kept calling us up and fixed an appointment on the above date.
    2. After the presentation, when we asked about the Terms and conditions of cancellation (if we need to in the future), we were advised that the kit explaining all the details including membership Id etc will follow around 10 days later.
    3. We were also advised that there is a one time fee to be paid as the down payment (AF). This fee is non-refundable. However, the EMIs we pay later are refundable.
    4. When we received the membership kit after 10 days, we saw the clause 6.1 in their Terms and conditions that if we wanted to cancel the membership and claim the AF amount, we need to do that within 10 days from enrolling. This information was not given to us at the time of presentation. We were simply told that its non refundable without any timeline mentioned.
    5. We then read the details further in 6.1, which stated that Entitlements are refundable subject to some deductions mentioned in 6.2. We immediately related this to the information given to us (highlighted in point 3).
    6. Later we realized that it would be difficult to plan for a holiday in the near future and looked at this membership as non-fruitful. We finally called contact centre and requested for the cancellation on 17 October, 2008. Service Request no. . 1014043
    7. We were told that we would get a refund as per the entitlement in 45 days.
    8. After requesting for the cancellation, we got email from Club Mahindra trying to apply their retention strategy twice. When we told them firmly that we don’t want to continue, they advised us that they will proceed with the request.
    9. This time, we were told that there is no refund. My husband that time did not have the Terms and Conditions document and was told that he could call the contact centre to clear his doubts.
    10. We then called on 19 October 2008, and were again promised that we are entitled for a refund and that we not entitled to get the initial down payment made (AF). We were promised that we will get a cheque in 45 days. Service Request no. 1018575
    11. On 7 December 2008, we called the contact centre again since we did not receive the cheque. We were promised that the cheque will reach us by end of December.
    12. On 8 Dec, we got a call from an employee called Baljeet. This girl was extremely rude when we demanded under what clause we were not entitled. We asked her to email the clause. That is the same terms and conditions that we looked at and this email was forwarded to you (Ravi).
    13. We responded back to this email. We got an automated response giving us a turn around time of 48 hours but till date nobody has contacted us.
    14. We then called up the contact centre and explained the conversation we had with baljeet. The Representative we spoke to agreed with us that we were entitled for a refund. He said that he would escalate this matter and that this will be resolved within 48 hours. Service Request no. 1106645
    15. Even after 48 hours (on 10 December), we did not get call back or email from Club Mahindra. We again called and were again promised another 24 hours. Service request no. 1016068.
    16. After 24 hours, on 11 December, we again called and of course the same promise was again made to us. By this time we understood that we will not get anything by calling the contact centre. All they know is to only make false promises! Req no. 1016068
    17. Finally, on 13 December, I reached the Club Mahindra office from where we had purchased the membership. I saw the guy who sold us membership. When we entered the office, he came to us thinking that we are prospective customers and started playing with 4 month old daughter. The moment he got to know that we have come with a complaint, he fled away and asked us to speak to the Venue Manager there – Krishna Tanwar.
    18. This lady was very polite and calmed us down. She assured us that she will look into this and also agreed to us that we were entitled to a refund. She asked us to send her an email. She promised to get back to us on Monday (15 December)
    19. But, she did not call. Finally on 17 December, I called her. She said that she did not have the time to look at her emails. She asked us to call after 4 p.m. When I spoke to her again, I was surprised by her attitude! She did not seem the same polite lady! She said that she spoke to the member relations Manager and that we are entitled to refund, if and only if we paid the entire membership amount at one go!
    20. I now understand why she was polite that time in the office: - a) Because there were other customers in there and b) She was trying to apply some retention strategies
    21. We were never ever told about this when we purchased the membership. This product has been mis-s old to us.
    22. We have not even taken one holiday in the course of membership and paid around 75000 Rs till now for nothing.
    23. All we have got from Club Mahindra is false promises, wrong information. I have spent money even in calling them so many times. But they have not even bothered to speak politely!
    24. The least I want is that the people should know this experience of mine & what kind of a company Club Mahindra is! If you just type – Complaints against Club Mahindra on Google, you will find 27,700 results!
    25. No body in Club Mahindra even knows the terms and conditions correctly. All wrong information. Just to sell and achieve individual targets, they are misspelling the products!
    26. We know that Consumer laws are not very popular in India, but I want to make sure that I make as many people possible ware of this.
    27. We expect a refund as promised to us.
    28. We then took help from AIRDA who helped to see if our dispute could be settled. It was only after their intervention that we atleast got a call from a girl called Gayatri from corporate relations. She did not have any answer to our complaints but kept saying that we should join back. We told her very clearly that we would not.
    29. We finally got a call from Ravi Kumar (AIRDA) who was looking after our case and advised us that Club Mahindra has denied to refund us the money they once promised. Again they said that we can join back. Its very difficult to believe that they want the customer to join back after receiving this kind of treatment.

    At the outset I would like to explain that I am appealing to you
    because I have not been able to get any active response from the
    executives of Club Mahindra in Kolkata.

    I am Professor Abir Kumar Bhattacharyya. I am in teaching profession and
    was Assistant Professor in Regional Engineering College (now the National Institute in Technology (NIT) , Durgapur.)
    Now I am Professor in the Computer Science Department, Netaji Subhash
    Engineering College, Kolkata - 700152
    Recently when we were filling at a Petrol station, we were given a
    form to fill by a boy doing promotional work for Club Mahindra who
    told us that filling the form would make us eligible for some lottery
    & prizes. Afterwards my wife was informed that we have won a prize and
    invited to receive our gifts in the Club Mahindra Office at Hiland
    Park, Kolkata.

    On 16.03.2010 at around 8 p.m.at the Club Mahindra Office at Hiland
    Park, Kolkata after being given a partial information about the facilities and no explanation about the rules, we were hurried into signing an application
    for life membership as a discount was available only for that day. We were
    told that we will get the rules along with the membership kit. We also
    paid a initial installment of Rs.36,800/=.

    At the time we made the application, We thought that our son will
    participate in the membership. But as it happens he is already heavily
    committed both financially and in respect to leaves or vacations that
    he can take in near future and will not be able to participate in it.
    So after talking with our son, I immediatele sent a request for Cancellation of membership to feedback@clubmahindra.com on 17.03.2010 within 24 hours of applying for membership on 16.03.2010. The Interaction Id for my request of Cancellation is 2044776

    Subsequently I was told by the Kolkata office of Club Mahindra whom I
    contacted over the number 033 3024 6100 that there were no rules for cancellation and I could not cancel my membership.
    Now I have come to know from your website ( Ref: Complaint against Club Mahindra by geetanjaliamit dasgupta) that if I apply within 10 days from enrolling, I can cancel the membership with some penalties. The
    rules are given in 6.1 & 6.2.of the rules manual. As a matter of fact
    I have not taken a single goods & services from Club Mahindra
    & already paid Club Mahindra Rs.36,800/=. I have not even claimed

    the 26" Sony Bravia TV which was promised by Club Mahindra sales persons at Hiland Park Kolkata at the time of enrollment. I also tried to
    contact Ms.Charmaine Dhawan, Assistant Manager Kolkata Office but could not as she seemed to be always busy. There has been no active response from the side of Club Mahindra executives regarding the status
    of my application for cancellation.

    Today one person rang up from the Kolkata office & told me that there are no existing rules for the cancellation of membership & the 10 days rule that I had quoted did not exist. They do not commit anything through e-mails and only promise unending discussions during which they simply refuse to listen to you. Is any remedy existing against this??

    Respected Sir this jaganathan, I had purchase a car mention above in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in MPL Nungambakkam Branch, on July 2010 Nearly 3 Months.

    History of My Car < Your Product > {kindly Note it} [Kindly take Action Don’t be lacy]

    Purchase on July 2010
    Problem
    < Over Heating
    < Change in coolant volumes
    < Change in AC Temperature
    < Low Mileage
    < Low Pick up
    < Seat Warnings not responding properly
    < Service {what the use}
    < Service Engineers Not taking Action {Their Number also added Fallows}
    Ac problem and over heat comes from the date of purchase, but its take to control to action from the 5500km, till now it’s not rectified.


    Over Heating Take place on Start of 5500 Km
    Change in Coolant Limits, some times it will get auto dry.
    AC it’s a super AC Designed by your engineers if the vehicle get cooled for certain period its change {AC} Her Character in to Heater, Auto metical the Blower becomes to Heater, its lead the passenger to get sweet in side the travel time. {Tell my Thank for UR Design Engineer}
    Mileage: The Car is not giving expected Mileage, what you have mention in the reviews.
    Pick up : Try to drive my car you came to notice.
    Seat Warnings: What the use of E8 Higher model
    Service:
    It’s a big history. The MPL service is not making any proper guide are proper attention for the cars, they are in counting the number of cars, but not collecting the customer satisfaction.{no action}




    Service engineers:
    {Not well Trained, Not Educated} all are Diploma holders no one is graded well engineers in MPL.
    {Don’t know about the knowledge of the engine and Condition, But goodness well in Billing} this create a profitable move for them.

    First service: 5000 to 6000 Km MPL Saligramam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu (044) 23764297 , (044) 23764298 {Handle by [Mr.Dinesh.9940196006]

    Second Service: After the first service from the third day the car become to over heat and stopped at the centre of the HW {High Way} second lane.[the HW with 3 Lanes near Chennai] {Its in a critical condition for accident}

    The Help line has take over the Car for 40 Km from Chennai [This happen from 3rd month of purchase of Your New delivered Xylo E8] Handle by the MPL Service after two hours by the following Mobil number +918056005957 and [Mr.Dinesh.9940196006]
    They take 0.5 day for take check up but not cleared the problem. {if you need clear report call to the number added above}

    Then
    Then i travel to, Tirunelveli one part of Tamilnadu its 600 km from Chennai city.
    After the 600 km it’s again break down, what a product sir

    Again I spend some time nearly 2-days for service the car in Tirunelveli Kodai mahendra service station the problem attend by the following persons.

    Problems: over Heat, AC complaints, Low pick up, Mileage.

    At the time I take my second service in Kodai ST at 8500Km

    Than I hand over my car 12th to MPL wear I purchased the car for the above problems.

    Till now I dozen get any reply from the station MPL Nungambakkam Branch [Mr.Srinivasan, & Mr. Hari] except Dinesh. {what a service}

    Main Prob the car getting again and again Heat and the coolant get auto dry with in a 10 to 70 kms {I had given my car with tank filled two times to service station, they make empty the fuel and gave me back but the service is nil….. tell me what to do my car. my number 9941493358/9941491588

    Iam not a Mechanical Engineer to take over a new car and move with a set of equipments and take service with in a every 100 Km
    Iam a civil engineer I dozen know how to open the engine.

    Kindly you engineers take action as early as possible to give my car.
    I purchase my car for my use not for the service station
    If you are a educated engineers kindly take in to action.
    Are live my car back to me I sure publish about your product in any news add,
    Then in future your products will come out with proper check.

    I know about ur product is good, but some times its happen

    Angry Complaint AGainst Club Mahindra

    Hello,
    I am Mitesh Kumar Saini, and I have grievances towards "Club Mahindra Holidays". On 14th Aug 2010, I got a call from "Club Mahindra Holidays", Hudco Place Khel Gaon Marg, Ansal Plaza, New Delhi, stating that I have won a Free Holiday voucher. They asked me to come with my spouse with ID proof and collect free voucher from them. On 16th August 2010 I went there with my wife, and they started convencing me to join club mahindra, to which I said "I will consider it and will tell them in 2 or 3 days". But they kept on convencing me saying that I will get RCI membership Free if I will apply for it now, further they said that if I am not satisfied I can cancel my Membership within 10 days from the date of Down payment and I will get a refund within 30 days with no deductions. So, after going through their form and confirming "10 days rescission period"(membership Rule No. 6.1), I applied for it in name of my Wife (Ritu Rani) and me as a co-applicant and paid "Rs 16031" from debit card. Next day I searched on Internet about "Club mahindra holidays" I found that there are numerous complaints against them for the lack of services, after that asked a few friends if anyone is member of "Club mahindra Holidays" and their experience with them and they also gave same negative feedback.
    So, I decided to withdrew my application. On 17th August 2010, I wrote an application for "Cancellation of Club Mahindra Holidays Membership" signed by my Wife and Me and submitted it to "Club Mahindra Holidays" office, Bhikaji Cama Place,New Delhi and took a receive of the same . From that day till now I have made numerous calls to Club Mahindra about the status of my cancellation request and when will I get a refund, to which they always keep on extending the date on which I will get a refund. Today is 18th Oct 2010 and 2 months have passed but till now I haven't received refund of my initial downpayment of "Rs16031". A few reference numbers for conversation between me and "Club Mahindra" Member Relation Centre are: 2348760 on 25th Aug 2010, 2368140 on 3rd Sep 2010, again called on 8th Oct 2010 stating 2368140 reference Number, again called on 16th Oct 2010. Further I have also recorded a few calls made to their Member Relation centre.
    Now Could anyone suggest what i should do

    I had taken membership by signing the application form on 16/06/2010 by filling the application at the Vasai office of Club Mahindra Resorts , And I was promised for a free gift of 32 " Toshiba LCD TV on signing up of the application . It is understood that it will take atleast 15 working days for the despatch of the free gift . On enquiring after One month , i was informed by Mr. KiranKumar Gupta that they had promised to issue the gift after clearance of the Three ECS payments which I was not informed earlier on signing of the Application . It is clearly mentioned on every advertisement in Newspaper and on Website as on today also . So I hereby state that I have misguided and cheated by the Vasai office representatives .
    So I request the Club Mahindra Holidays & Resorts to cancel my membership and refund me the full amount paid by me or else I shall file the petition with the Consumer court , Mumbai .
    As the said terms and conditions for the free gift and misguidance process has been used by the representatives .

    I have been cheated by you executive Mr. Sunil Raj by assuring my holidays in dubai resort which he told me that it shall be open in decemebr 2010. After becoming the member It was informed by miss deepthi sara that they are planning to buy a land in dubai to construct the resort. I have send several emails to them regarding the cancellation & refund but no response. Whenever I send email to feedback@clubmahindra.com they call me up & use abusive language. I have lodged my complaint to Indian consumers forum & I have emailed the contents of complaints against clubmahindra to all my friends & relatives in India, bahrain, UAE , Qatar , Muscat & everywhere.
    If you can help me out to get my refund I shall be thankful to you as its my hard earned money.

    Post wrong information about primium for holiday.

    i take a holiday plan in sep 2010.that time this told by the agent that only 46000 Rs. are given.but later they add many installment with it .we coud enjoy any holiday in mahindra club. now we want to go then told by agent that your primium is due.why these add.please solve my problem .my i.d. is advocatepoojarani@gmail.com. my membership no. is 2056107.

    Question complent for mahindra Moters HO Kandivali

    Dear Sir/Madam,



    We had bought Mahindra Bolero Plus in August 24, 2011 from your distributor in Panvel, Global Gallery.



    Within 2 months of delivery and running of less than 5000 km, authorized Mahindra service centre (G 3) informed us that the clutch plate was faulty and has been burnt.



    They also informed us that it cannot be replaced and told us to contact your head office for further communication. I am personally depressed about the situation as the car has started showing problems after just 2 months of delivery.



    Our car is in the G3 service center at Nerul,Navi Mumbai.and we appreciate if any engineer from HO would look into the same and replace the part ASAP.
