We have similar complaint about Anju placement service who took Rs 2000/= as advance from us with promise of providing maid within two days on 30/08/2009. When they did not provide maid for 10 days, we arranged from somewhere else and asked them for refund of our money. They are postponing it by another few days everytime we call them.
Please let me know if any legal action can be taken against them and how?

I think you guys should warn them that if they dont refund your money, u will file a FIR against them. If they still do not care, go ahead and file a complaint against them in the police station.

This is to bring to your notice a certain placement agency 'Anju placement services' Bhikaji Kama has very unprofessional and unauthorized dealing. I have been patient with them for the past 1 year and 10 months. I applied for a maid through this agency in June 2008. I got the 1st maid for 2months after which she left for a visit home and never turned up. I was giving a replacement after 40 days whereas they claim to send it within 10days. The 2nd maid they sent was a 65yrs old lady who was rejected by 3 other houses. Then they sent me a male servant who after getting the 1st month's salary, absconded. I filed a FIR at the Malviya Ngr Police station against him. Then they sent me a servant 'Eshhwar' who took advance every 7 day and we ended up paying more than the decided salary. He decided to leave for a better pay after working for just 2 months. Finally recently they sent us another male servant after 2 months, physically handicapped to do household work, who left on the 3rd of March with his earned salary. Now we have decided that we don't want to continue with this agency. Today I received a harassing call from Sahil who works for the agency claiming that we owe a months salary overdue for the previous two servants. On denying the overdue , Sahil was abusive and threatened to come down to my house with people whom i assume to be goons. They already have a months salary in advance which is 3500/- rs and also they have the commission till may which we are not even bothered about and are not even asking them for a refund. We have been dealing with Ajit, Rajesh and Sahil for the past few months regarding a replacement , which as per papers they claim to provide with in 10 DAYS , however now its more than 20 days and we still do not have a replacement , hence we decided not to continue with them. Kindly advise whether i need to file a police complaint and keep a FIR , or is there anything else thats needs to be done.i am constantly been threatened by them and am worried about other family member, they should not be harassed during my absence. Kindly advice.

I came accros the above NGO online when I wa looking for a domestic help. I went through their webite and assumed it to be genuine and called on the number mentioned in the website and spoke to mr. vijender. He promised that once we deposit rupees 5000 in their account, the maid will reach us in 4 days along with the agreement. But now he is giving all the reaons and not sending a maid and we demanded our money back, he ha turned hostile and now not responding our calls and not returning our money too. please help in this regard.
