Respected Consumer Court Users & Admin,

I had placed 4 orders with Bag It Today on 5th July 2010, the details of order are as follows,

1) Samsung LCD TV - Rs. 17,699 - Booking ID - 440031705
2) Samsung LCD TV - Rs. 17,998 - Booking ID - 880134667
3) Reebok Fitness Kit - Rs. 3,300 - Booking ID - 880134665
4) Samsung Camcorder - Rs. 11,399 - Booking ID - 440031711

Out of these 4, LCD TVs had Surat Diamond Voucher worth Rs. 55,000 Each and the Camcorder had the voucher worth Rs. 20,000.

I had placed the order on 5th July and since then I have called them up on their customer care no. 01140502424 but everytime they said that "Sir we have some technical problems with our Voucher Department so we will provide you the voucher within a week."

Here is some of the call details that I have,

On 9th July 2010 at 3:52 PM I had a talk with a guy named Neeraj,

On 26th July at 3:42 PM I had a talk with some female but I dont have her name.

On 29th July at 2:30 PM I had a talk with a guy named Kuldeep,

On 11th August at 11:45 AM I had a talk with a guy named Prashant.

During the Ordering process they had PROMISED me that as soon as the product is confirmed we will SMS you the voucher details, and later they said they will email me the details. Customer Care people have taken my phone no. and email id many times but no SMS and No EMAIL. Also once they told me to write an email to "membership@bagittoday.com" but even from there I did not get any replies.

Some days later they said we will provide you the vouchers after you have received your product as it is a new rule to give vouchers after product delivery but still I call them up but they give the same reply of Technical Problems and will give you Voucher after a week.

Please CC users, mods and admin I urge you to please help me as the Total Voucher value is Rs. 1,30,000 and its a huge sum. Bag It Today is of India Today Group and I trusted this group but I received FRAUD in return. Please help me get these vouchers.

I got a phone call from BagItToday, on 21st July, 2010 (One month ago) that I am a winner and I've won "a 5 lac gold box"..!!! And to claim this prize, I've to make some shopping which should cross Rs. 29000/- (booking ID: 880136807)and I also have to pay Rs. 5980/- (booking ID: 880136808) for the 5 Lac Gold box...(Surat Diamond Vouchers)..!!

I was very happy,...!!! and immediately arranged my bank debit card, and paid the required amount, and I've purchased Sony Ericsson Mobile worth Rs. 27498/- and paid Rs. 5980/- for the Gold Box..on same day, i.e. 21st July, 2010 (one month ago)...

Then on 22th July, 2010, I've received another call, that I've to pay another Rs. 499/- for crossing the limit of 28,000/-, and I paid it immediately...without any question..!!!

On 25th July, 2010, I got another phone call, from your dispatch department, that they are dispatching my Gold Box, which contains 25 No. of vouchers, worth Rs. 20,000/- each..
Also with a condition that no two vouchers can be clubbed togather..!!!!!
But I can use only one voucher at a time..so if I purchase one item worth Rs. 25000/-, I'll get discount of only 20,000/- and Rs. 5000 I've to pay at my own..
I was not happy with this offer, as it was not said earlier, at time of offering me this gift..
Then she told, if I want to club my vouchers, i.e. want to use more than one vouchers, then I've to pay Rs. 7498/- and against this amount, I'll get one MTV kit..and I paid this amount immediately (Booking ID: 880140379)..!!!

After receiving my both item, (880136807 and 880136808), I started inquiring, about my Gold Gift vouchers..and your representatives, told me that I'll receive it, within 7 days, via email... ..

After waiting for more 25 days and daily pursuing on phone calls, on 25th August, 2010, I received 100 vourcher codes, worth Rs. 5000/- each...(Fraud case No.1), earlier as it was committed it should be of Rs. 20000/- each..!!!

And with the condition (Fraud case No. 2), that I can not club two or more vouchers..!!and also I've to purchase a product which should worth Rs. 8000/- or more...!!!!
it means I to get Rs. 5,00,000/- discount, I've to spend minimum Rs. 3,00,000/-, from my own pocket... If I want a product worth Rs. 10,000/- only..!!!

Both the conditions was never communicated before I puchased any product..!!!

I have sent my complaints so many times, but every time I receive the same copy-pasted reply, ...Nobody is giving me proper answer..I'm totally frustrated now..
I don't know, what should I do now???..

I want to return all the products I've received and I don't want to use these vouchers, and a refund for full amount I spent for these vouchers...

Pleas help me in this matter..I want to file a complaint against ITBC, how can I go for it...????

It seems no-one here is interested in hearing our plea. Guys I have heard many people have got justice and proper service/treatment after they have complained here but no-one seems to take any sort of action here. Please ADMIN/MODS help me and this guy.

All of them said the same thing, I have to pay Rs. 7492 to club these vouchers i.e. 26 Vouchers X Rs. 5000 = Rs. 1,30,000

Please people at consumer court help me please.

Guys only way these Companies understand is if you complain it to the Consumer Court,Take some hassles complain to the Consumer Court it would not charge u more than a few hundred rupees and u will get justice,make sure u have got written proof of it,like send then REGISTERED with AD letters and than fight for your case.All the Best to All..!!

Hi all, I use to received calls regularly that you are amongst 3 luckey winner to win diamonds and all you want to do is only enter your credit card information on IVR and we will make a confrimation of winning. He then said we need to select a product, and then purchase. I said, wil not purchase, and got a answer is no need to purchase just enter the purchase code, like lcd, camcorder etc. I have disconncted the call, he called me 4 to 5 times, even I am not interested on the same day.

There is a continuous add in news paper that india today group is offering reebock items in cheaper rates & people gets influnced seeing the name of india today group, & starts purchasing items, from here they slowly understand the motto of the company, it is totally a cheaters, they use to give mobile phone saying that the market cost is 140000/- but company's offer is 10000/- when you receive the product u will find that the actual cost of that mobile is not more than 6000/-...............it is my humble request to all of u that please take extra care while receiving calls from these types of cheaters....

Dont go behind this type of fraudulents. nobody will benefit us, everybody will go for thier on profit

I bought a blackberry(order id 1005186693) mobile from your organisation. from the vry beginning I had been facing problem. i wrote thousands of mail to your customer care & received also a thousands reply but i could not send my mobile for service/replacement.
surprisingly the blackberry service center in kolkata refused to service your mobile because it is from BAG IT TODAY. I found later that you buy second hand mobile from USA then change the facial of it & then offer it as new with huge discount. a lot sufferer are there.

I got a call from Bag it Today yesterday(22nd Nov) and told that out of all customers only 5 telephone numbers are selected and you have been one among that. There is a new year offer in which first prize will be 20 lakhs, 2nd 10lakhs and 3rd prize is 5lakhs respectively. They said it to keep completely confidential and not call and ask customer support regarding this and should not inform anyone since if they come to know that I am in 4th position then some corruptions might happen and I will loose my money. For this we need to buy natural round diamonds worth Rs 29,999/- which costs around 60,000/- in the market and I will get a HCL tablet PC free. I thought it as a good deal and made a purchase. The mistake I did was after purchasing I googled about the complaints which have been made. So instantly I called them and asked to cancel my order as I dont wanted to take a risk of receiving the product and then decide whether its worth for the money or not. But now they are telling that 7% would be deducted from the refund amount as its a company rule. But I never found in terms and conditions that 7% would be deducted. Also I was a genuine customer who has purchased so many things before. When i said that I wont agree with it and will fight in consumer court the lady who has called said that we are the people who is going to refund and what will I do if they wont refund. These people are really arrogant and wants t o make money illegally.These people are making fraud with offers and making it through the phone without showing those offers in the website. Please someone take action against this.

I have been duped for the same Rs 29999/- diamonds trick. No genuine bill and certificate. The local jeweller says the diamonds are fake and not worth 29999 but just around rs. 1500/- and no jeweler would even want buy it !
