This is one classic case of how unprofessional these guys can be. I paid a sum of Rs 7000 for yearly membership of the Gym at inspirations, bangalore, in February 2009. However, at the end of June 2009 the Gym closed down due to some management/financial reason. They send SMS that it will again open after 1 month after renovation. However, three months passed and it did not open. When I called there, they told to either join Gym in other locality for the remaining period or get refund. I opted for Refund. I went there 3 - 4 times but could not find the person appointed for refund matters. Finally one fine day in october, 2009, when I went there, I obtained refund form. That time I saw that, the refund calculation goes like this -
= Refund for 7 months ( As I used service only for 5 months) - Processing fee of Rs 500 - Credit card charge at 4 % - Service charge at 12 % .

I found, service charge for the service which i did not use and processing chrage of 500 highly objectionable. I objected to this and threatened to go to consumer court. I wanted to take the refund form with me so that it will be proof for me in court. However, They forcefully made me not to take any form from their office. However, after some negotiation, this guy waived the processing charge of 500/-. I agered to that and filled up the refund form and gave there. He told me to wait for 21 days for the cheque to come.

I am waiting now for last 2 months. Nothing has come, nobody contacted me. Last week I contcted the same guy there and he told me to call next Monday at so and so time. I called up on his phone at the told time today, but phone was switched off. I called again in the evening, now the phone was switched on, they have asked me to call/come again tomorrow at the so and so time.

I am fully frustated and dejected the way these people work. I want to know what options I have and is it worth doing some thing for 3 thousand ruppes or forget it ?
