We had entered to an agreement with a maid placement agency named Poornima Placement in New Delhi on 6th July, 2009 to get a maid for cooking and to keep our baby who is an year old.
The initial maid that was provided to us did not know any of the jobs despite the agency’s assurance that she knows everything. With daily follow-up of over 15 days to get the maid replaced they provided us another maid. The replacement maid was temperamental, ill-mannered and abusive in nature and was also suffering from high-blood pressure. This maid had already been rejected by her previous employer.
We had been constantly calling the agents, Mr. Sitaram and Mr. Raju to take back their maid and refund us the entire amount for over a month. Every-time we only got the promise that they will come and take her back the very next day. It was getting worse each day to keep her at home since my wife is 8 months pregnant and my baby is just an year old.
Then on 1st Oct, 2009 we served him a notice through registered post for their irresponsible and unethical behavior and inability to keep the terms of the contract.
On 3rd Oct, 2009, the maid went very abusive and violent that we had to call the society guards for the safety of my wife and child who were alone at home with her. It became impossible for us to keep her with us for even a minute. We called up Mr. Sitaram and Mr. Raju several times during the day to take her back but got no positive response from their side. Failing which, I had no choice but to ask her to leave our home immediately.
We have also submitted a copy the notice sent to the agency to the Bhiwadi police station.
As per the terms of the agreement the agency is obligated to refund the service charges if we are not satisfied with their services in 3 months. Despite calling them constantly and their promise we got no refund till this date.

We request you to please consider our plea and register the complaint and take the proper action against the agency.
