Just when you think you have heard it all....
Recently I tried to get General Liability Insurance for the work I do and have been turned down by over ten different insurance companies. The work I do is directly related to and generated by the Insurance companies themselves... I do roadside Assistance for Insurance company's Auto Club Members !!!
Seriously... I am the one that shows up when you call your Insurance Company or Auto CLub and provide the service that you pay for via your Insurance. ( Tire Change, Lock Out, Jump Start) I have been beside myself trying to figure out why can't get a liability policy... All I am told is that they don't underwrite or have policies for the service I provide??
Now that is just plain stupid!!! -
If I buy a Tow truck, they will insure me. But I don't want a tow truck, I want to keep providing Road Side Assistance. A position I have held for quite some time without insurance and a position which was created by the Insurance Companies.
If anyone can offer some insight or know of a company that writes this type of policy, please post here. I have tried most of the major Insurance companies and have filed a complaint with the FLorida Insurance Regulatory Commission.
