Respected Sir/Madam,
I met with an accident on Thursday 21st May, 2009 in Karol Bagh-Delhi, as my bike got skeet on road while applying disk brake and luckily i was not injured. There were many damages to bike in Internal and External parts of my bike.
I own Red Karizma 2007 built model, and most of the part damages to my bike are Head light hooks(Internal part), left side of front Wiser, Left side of tail light Wiser, Stand joint.
Nitin Sharma from ICICI Lombard who survey my bike at B.K. Motors. He told me that he will not consider my request for claim for Insurance as his perception is that this is an old damages not new.
When i told him that i will take this matter to legal court, then he started negotiating with me that ok let me take picture of the damages and i will let you know.
Today i received call from Nitin Sharma and Anup Tarashan that we will not consider Head light damage it seems to be repaired as screw seems to be drilled.
I explain him that why there is a screw drilled at the lower part of the head light, reason to put the screw was to hold the light tight every time when bike cross any pit hole or damage road or speed breaker because it use to make lots of sound while crossing such things.
I keep on trying to explain him but he don't want to listen. And finally he told me that they will not considered and threaten me that i can do what ever i want.
I am writing to consumer court because this is not about money right now but this about monopoly of ICICI Lombard executive who attempt to disturb consumer mentally.
My simple question is when i took policy from ICICI lombard they took picture of the bike to feed condition of vehicle at the time of policy issuance. While they are not looking back at that picture to verify whether condition is good or bad that time.
I took policy in February and accident happened in May, vehicle condition was good in Feb., now accident happen in May that is why i am claiming.
They are just trying to mentally torture customer, this is not the right way to deal. I am feeling like cheated by ICICI Lombard.
At the time of policy issuance they give us numerous of call to take policy only from them but once we claim for any damage they start making point on each and everything so that they survive from the claim.
This is not the right way, they should not cheat customer like this.
