    Default Cheated by TATA AIG General Insurance Company

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    I had got a call from TATA AIG General Insurance (Mumbai Branch) on
    30th September 2007 saying they are offering a very good General
    Insurance Plan (Home Supreme DM Policy) to their existing customer.

    The Features of the Policy they informed me as follows :
    1) It will insure my assets upto 17 Lac. (all total)
    2) The Premium of the Policy for the 1st year wil be Rs.2202/-
    3) If I make a claim within 1 year, then I will get the claim amount
    after the verification. But the Premium amount will lapse.
    4) But if I will not make any claim within the validity period (1
    year) of the policy I will get the entire amount (Rs.2202) back.
    5) Once again if I will continue with the policy for the 2nd year,
    they will offer me discount. I will pay only Rs.1058/-.
    6) Suppose I will not make any claim within that 2 years too, then I
    will get back my all amount (Rs.2202/- + Rs.1058/-) back after 2
    years.

    When I asked if they will return back my total premium amount, then
    how the TATA AIG company will survive? They told me that, there are
    some internal strategy followed by TATA AIG and they are making
    profits by giving privileges to existing customers.

    She took my Credit Card and also the CVV No. for issuing the Policy
    and said me that we should trust them as the interaction is being
    recorded. They would not misuse it. And if it will misused, then she
    will be Responsible to that.

    They told me that I will get the Policy within 7 days. and even if
    the above terms are not written on the policy and if at all I am not
    satisfied with the Terms and Conditions of the Policy, I can return
    back my policy and I will get back my Rs.2202/- paid as premium.

    But I didn't got any policy
    => and complained to the Customer Care against it on 19th Oct 2007.
    => Advised by the Customer Care Executive I wrote a mail on 27th Oct
    2007 attaching my Credit card transaction screenshot.
    => Received a Softcopy of the Policy on 2nd Nov 2007, where the Terms
    where not there and my wife name was incorrect.
    => Talked to Customer Care on 2nd Nov 2007 and as the Terms are not
    like what I had been told (Unethical way of selling) they advised me
    to Cancel the policy immediately and I will get all my money back.
    => I went to Bangalore branch and submitted my Application to cancel
    the policy on 5th Nov 2007.
    => Policy was issued only 29th October and reached me on 10th
    November 2007.
    => Called Customer care on 14th Nov, 5th Dec, 2nd Jan and other so
    many times to know the status.
    => The Policy was cancelled on 29th December 2007.
    => Talked to Customer Care Executive on 10th Jan 2008 to know the
    status.

    After so many follow ups I am not getting my money back. Why should a
    customer suffer if the company employee adapt unethical way of
    selling their products?

    Complain No : 886682496 (given on 19th Oct)

    Whenever I am dialing to the Desk Phone she gave, that's not working.
    It's 3 and half months passed, but I am not getting my total amount
    back to me. I am really worried about and need your help to go for an
    Consumer case against TATA AIG.

    Please do the needful As soon as possible and help me getting my
    money back.

    Hi,

    My problem is also very similar to you and now I am not able to handle the
    Credit Card people who keep calling and abusing for the payment which is not
    liable to me.


    I got the Telecaller call from ICICI Lombard (chennai) for taking policy and I
    was convinced. There was some point which I said to give the policy
    for Current FY 2007-08 but they have issued for Last FY 2006-2007 for
    this I asked to alter the policy but that was not possible from there
    part and said to cancell after this the amount refunded in my credit
    card was 4043 less which is cancellation charges. So i need to know
    that if the committed statement is not followed even then I should be
    penalized. I believe as per IRDA rule if the policy cancelled in a
    week then total amound is refunded. Please guide me.

    Brief Of Policy Issued
    27 mar 07 spoke to executive
    28 mar 07 Policy Issued (which supposed to be issued in
    Apr'07)
    06 apr 07 Policy received via courier at my residence
    09 apr 07 Requested to cancell the policy
    18 apr 07 The amount refunded back from ICICI Lombard to my
    ICICI Credit card less Rs. 4043

    Now, I am being harrassed by the ICICI CREDIT CARD DEPT TO MAKE THE
    PAYMENT.



    Please help me to stop unwanted calls and abuses to pay the amount which is
    not being used by me.

    Stay away from Tata AIG insurance. THey will not pay when you make a claim.

    Default Tata AIG General Insurance Company Ltd. - Policy created without permission.

    HI,

    Tata AIG General Insurance Company Ltd. created policy on my name without my permission. And i have not confirmed about the policy. And i have received one document regarding policy after 2 months. From last two months they deducted Rs. 515 from my account without my permission. And now i have requested him to cancel my policy and refund my money back but they said 'No refund'........


    How cheap is this. Its a cheat/fraud company who created policy without permission. So please do not do any policy from this company.

    Wink One more victim of Tata AIG general insurance

    I am a HSBC credit card holder, in the month of november Tata AIG peopled called and insisted me to go for a insurance and they send me a policy document and every month the premium got deducted from my HSBC card. All of a sudden i received a letter( 19/02/2010) saying that " We have advised by your bank that they have been unable to debit the policy premium from your nominated bank. we regret to inform you that your TATA AIG policy application stands cancelled with effect from 24/01/2010." All this happened without my intervention and notice.
    First 2 months they have deducted Rs 500/month. and as per the policy we cannot claim for first 3 months. now the policy cancelled... Hence the customer paid premium is lost.(policy ref: BTHC1000017863)

    Hell with the TATA AIG.

    Talking TATA AIG Money Refund Pending to CITI BANK Credit Card

    My Name is SAI PREM KUMAR, I have taken 2 General Insurance policies from Tata-Aig family, I paid amount through CITI BANK credit Card and I asked them too convert it as EMI, till here everything is ok.

    Later after some days, due to some other reasons I canceled one of my General Insurance Policy in the month of November (almost 4 months), but the amount was not refunded to my Credit Card.

    I called many times to customer support of Tata-AIG, each and every time when i make a call to them, they are simply saying that we are forwarding the request regarding this. I don't know what i have to do, even today(March 05, 2010) also I called Tata-AIG customer support they said we are forwarding request.

    Apart from this Citibank Credit card was charging me EMI of Rs1500/- nearly. I don't know how to approach those guys and get refund my amount, so I found this consumer complaints site and I am posting this query here.

    Default Tata-aig motor inusrance - please don't take policy from TATA-aig

    Hi,
    This is wrt my claim no 620254377, the claims person in advaith intimated that he had intimated the tata-aig people for the insurance claim on monday 22nd morning, But your surveyor reached there only in the evening and after 2 days, on 24th evening Mr Prasad (9986057595)from Tata-aig insurance called me up to inform me that the claim is going to dishonoured,his behaviuor was very inapproriate and rude with me. He accused me of cheated the TATA-AIG, He never gave any apportunity to me to talk.

    I clearly mentioned to him I never hid any thing, I even told him that I had told/mentioned the fact to the Tata-aig about my previous claims and I will challenge this.

    I request you to furnish recording of all the calls I had with the insurance advisors over phone.

    So, the truth will come out.

    People like me are having high regards only because of of the name and the brand of TATA, its very unfortunate that people like Prasad(tata-aig) are going to spoil your company reputation.

    By withstanding my recent unpleasant experience with TATA_AIG, I am planning to discontinue my association with TATA-aig by not nenewing my policy with TATA-aig.

    I am also GIRHAIK made by Tata - AIG General Insurance's executive.

    3 times call, & 3 times clarification, I 3 times told him not to debit, only take authorisation, they basterd debited amount from my HDFC credit card & CC bank HDFC, decrease my limit.

    Please guide what to do?

    Default Non receipt of household goods insurance policy

    Sir/ Madam I am SUDARSHAN GHOSH and I am posting this complaint regarding non receipt of Policy for household insurance , which has been paid for by me through your phone service from Mumbai. I had been contacted by your agent on 14 Apr 2011 on my mobile no. and explained the merits of various household insurance policies.I was given a transaction no. 016616 for payment made through HDFC credit card for Rs 4798/-. As promised , the soft copy was to be mailed to me within 48 hours viz. by 16 Apr 2011 , but same not received by me as yet on 19 Apr 2011.
    Please resolve this issue and send me my policy details on e mail and hard copy through post.

    The company will return the entire amount, if you cancel the policy within one month of the issuance date.

    Angry Cheating By TATA AIG GENERAL INSURENCE COMPANY LTD,MUMBAI

    I had got call from TATA AIG Insuerence employee Mr.Ravi Shawant and offered health insurence and I send cheques Rs 6588/00 dated 11/05/2011 but yet to receive insuerence copy and I made many calls to him but no reponse. Note : My Application No.1079047.Pl arrrange and send immediately.
