This is kindly inform that i have purchased a new bike Bajaj pulser in Nov'09 and bike was insured under oriental Insurance Compnay limited under the policy number 271700/31/2010/7471 and bike number was UP-16Y-4401 My motor cycle was stolen on 25th December 2009.For the same i have already submiited all the requested documets including same days police intimation report, FIR report, FIR final report and all other required papers.
While talking to them for my claim intially they told that as per the policy you have not given the written intimation letter to our main office with in 48 hours of bike stolen so your claim will not be processed.
Later they said that as you have not informed us with in 48 hours so only 75% of the insured amount can be processed.
when i was not agreed on 75% on the amount ( total amount insured is 57983/- Rs) they have stopped responding.

I have send them final legal notice of 20 days to there head offcie (A-25/27 Oriental house, asaf Ali road New Delhi 110002) through registered post from Noida on 21st july to settle down my claim but till now 1 month passed alredy and there is no response from oriental insurance so i have decided to file the complaint against Oriental Insurance Company as its already 8 month passed and i m waiting for my claim.

Please help me in this as soon as possible.

My motorcycle no. DL 3S BT 7569, Engine No. 76966 Chassis No. 87605, New BAJAJ PULSAR ES, 150 CC was stolen on 24/12/2010 from my present residence, Chirag Delhi, New Delhi . I reported the theft to the Malviya Nagar Police Station and police help line (Telephone No. 100) as soon as I noticed that the bike was missing and also tried my best to locate the same and could not locate it. I have filed an FIR with Malviya Nagar police station vide FIR No. 498 Under Section 379 IPC dated 24.12.2010.
I bought the bike new for 69000 in cash on 08.08.2010, and had had it for only four months.
I have got this bike insured with United India Insurance Co. Ltd. on the very first date of purchase i.e. 08.08.2010 and having paid the sum of Rs 1267 as a premium wherein the insured’s declared value is Rs 58, 500. As I was not very much familiar with the policy terms I did not noticed why the company has declared only 58,500 i.e. 10,000 less than the original value of an newly purchased bike.

Insurance company sent my policy to my dealer directly and without any intimation to me, which I came to know after 6 months and collected from the dealer.
Based on our application and as per the report forwarded by ACP and Investigating officer filed U/s 173 Cr.PC, as untraced of the vehicle, Hon’ble court has accepted the same as untraced and given a copy of order dated 20.4.2011 to me as a un trace report/ certificate for my above referred motorcycle.
I have given all the documents to the insurance company on 20.4.2011 but they are saying that as I have not intimated them immediately my claim can not be processed.
I was not aware with this condition as I have not received the policy and presuming the cover not as a insurance certificate.
