    Default Complaint against Reliance General Insurance

    Respected Sir/Ma'am,

    This is to inform you that on 20th May 2010, I registered a request to claim an amount of Rs 5084 against a damage of my car's front mirror to Reliance General Insurance.

    Claim No.: 2101118796
    Cheque No.: 683211 - 26/5/2010

    As per the company's policy, once the cheque has been generated then it should be received within 7 working days. However, we did not receive it till 2nd June . Therefore, we registered a complaint on 3rd June 2010 with the no.: 1223768. Afterwards, no action, no call, no mail has been received for an update. I called couple of times to the customer care dept. but with no luck. It's been more than 20 days and I haven't received my claim cheque and no reply from them. Whenever, I call customer care dept., they keep on sending updates to the finance department as a follow up on the same complaint number.

    I would request you o please help me to resolve this problem as soon as possible.

    Hello,
    We have gone through your complaint, first you need to talk to the Reliance General Insurance customer care and register a complaint, they will provide you a complaint no. and the time frame to resolve the issue. Wait for their response and revert us back with the Complaint nos. and the status of your complaint.

    1. I am senthil kumar service engineer of techki motors ,i made a motor claim for my customer car maruti swift on december 2009 and got the cheque in the name of insured mr.palanivel on march month of 2010 ,after recieveing the cheque the insured told he dont have personel savings account

    after that i have discussed with mr. Ganesh sales manager , anna nagar and he told to get letter from insured to reissue the cheque to repairer , so i gave the letter and cheque to
    mr .ganesh on march 2010, but he was not responding my call yesterday i made a call from anothe phone and he told in account department they have missed the cheque ,therefore i
    expected from you to take necessary step and settle my claim as soon as possible

    Default No action from Reliance General Insurance inspite of getting orders from Ombudsman

    I dont recall having seen any other complaint on your website where the customer has gone ahead, followed all documentory process, complained to IRDA Ombudsman, got an award and still not got his due claim.

    This has reference to my complaint no GI/161/Reliance/09 where the honorable Ombudsman office gave us an award of Rs 22,500 to be paid along with penal intrest. This award was given in our favour on July 2, 2010. Till date, inspite of running pillar to post and writing reminders to Reliance Genral Insurance, there has been no word from there side. I dont know which is the next higher authority where I should take up this case of absolute apathy from such a big business group.

    Please help.

    As per the total scene my car swift lxi damaged on 14/03/2011 on road Therefore, I registered a complaint on 14/03/2011 with the no.: 1223768. Afterwards, no action, no call, no mail has been received for an update. I called couple of times to the Final Surveryor(Mr Goel-70019187) firstly he says i can give you only single gate and misbehaved me and second time when i called him then he says "do needful only after that i can give you the total claim" .MY SIMPLE QUESTION IS ONLY THAT "IS THIS TYPE OF ENVIORNMENT YOU ARE MAINTAINING ANG IF YOU HAVE GIVEN THE AUTHORITY TO A PERSON FOR ANY APPROVAL THAT MEANS HE IS GOD ,ONLY HE KNOWS RIGHT OR WRONG .LOTS OF TIMES IHAV SENT THE MAILS BUT NOBODY TAKE CARE ABOUT THE PRECIOUS CUSTOMERS, I call customer care dept., they keep on sending updates to the finance department as a follow up on the same complaint number.

    I would request you To please help me to resolve this problem as soon as possible.

    I have not received copy of policy no-9202522311001829 by post.The insurance was done on 03 Apr 12 but even after 2 months I have not received the policy.

    Respected Sir/Madam, This is jaymin shah from anand gujarat & i am having Maruti 800 & I was Reliance ins for my car on 02/10/2011 my car was theft & that time i was submit my all document as per company rules but after 21 days back my car was found that time my claim was cancel & again iwas launch new complain because lots of damage in engine & other parts as well as change all tyres & remove player. & iam regular followup for my claim but my ins surveyor was giving only 1 answer i have putup your document when he will pass your claim i will inform & i was personally visit at branch but nobody can giving proper answer after 6month back reliance insurance co was told me your ins is not passed because this item is not under cover but lots of item not covered but reliance company giving me immidiate answer your claim not to be passed when i put my claim after 6month he was answer & till date i am not received any type of confermation why we r not sanction your claim & particular reason when i make call they answerd in 4 to 5 days u received registerd AD why we r not passed your claim.

    This has reference to the captioned subject and further conversation with your officials and my ltter dt.22/03/2012 for settlement of my claim amount Rs. Rs.165319.00( One Lakh sixty five thousand three hundred nineteen only. )
    1.In this regard I would once again inform you that my vehicle MH06AC3842 met an accident on dt.10/12/2011 in Uchude ,Goa Mumbai highway near to PEN, Raigad district (MH).
    2.There after I called up to your customer care no and on the same day i.e.10/12/2011 and accordingly my claim no-2111204861 dt.10/12/2011. Also inform to your intermediary regarding this on his cell.( +919322247321)
    3.Since the vehicle was on the road itself, I informed the same in course of my lodging claim to which your official attending on helpline and advised me to shift the vehicle to the Garage and the survey would attend the case.
    4.They also informed that the name of Surveyor is Miss Sonali and her contact no is -+919619855502.
    5.After bringing the vehicle to Garage, I called up intermediary contact cell no-+919322247321 and the above said Surveyor to attend the case .
    6. In spite of my repeated request the Surveyor did not turn up. I am enclosing herewith the log of my phone no from which I had requested the surveyor on her mobile no-+919619855502. (Copy enclosed)
    7. Since I am dependant on this vehicle, I called up Surveyor on dt.14/12/11 at about 11:08 AM to visit the Garage for inspection, so that necessary repairing job can be carried out. The Surveyor asked me to carry out the repairing job and she would visit once the job is completed and will give her report.
    8.After the repairing was completed the M/s Dutta Khode Surveyor visited and carried out necessary inspection & spot survey on dt.28/12/2011 and his mobile no-+918898820041.
    9. After the final survey, I deposited original bills with all supporting documents in support of my claim. Further expense incurred by me to repair the vehicle.
    10. After a lapse of over two months when I could not receive any information from you. I wrote a letter on dt.22/03/2012 for resolution of my case.
    11.Even lodging this letter, I have not even received any communication from your side or claim amount for my claim.
    12. Since I am not getting any response from you, in spite of my visit to your office and giving reminders, So I have no other option than to approach the Consumer Court for the resolution of my grievances.
    13.Please treat this letter of my final reminder and in case I will not received any communication within 15 days , then I would take up the matter before the Consumer Court..

    Default Ref: Non-Receipt of Group Mediclaim Card - Name: M. Mallika - DOB: 25.11.1959

    Earlier while I have worked in Operations Team in Reliance General insurance company, chennai, i have included my mother name in the GMC Policy and the insurance company has deducted the premium Rs.15393/- from my Apr 2012 Salary
    But they haven't provided the Mediclaim Card / E-Card to me. And iam following with them till this day, even after my resignation dated: 11.05.2012, and I understand from their internal mail that the cover would not be ceases if the employee was resigned.

    So, I kindly request you to help me by arranging the Mediclaim Card, at the earliest.

Due to Election time police will not gave proper response daily I went to Police station for asking FIR copy they will not co-operate properly after election Crime SI changed
    They told insurance will expire on November month know we give FIR on or before. In Insurance side they send KMS associates (184864) for Investigation survey No.9841434157 they call and ask me you collect FIR or not I explain sir late of Police side kindly give me time they told ok soon process going on. In insurance side they didn’t give any notice to closed letter or Message no one I got. Suddenly they told your claim has closed I fried no prior information they closed I ask in Chennai Reliance General insurance co.ltd., 6th floor Reliance House, No.6 Haddows Road, Nungambakkam Chennai – 600 006. I meet Menaka madam I gave letter to reopen my claim letter she told we forward to Mumbai office.

    Please, Kindly Reopen my claim and give my insurance money please understand my situation please give me good solution for me. Now I got all the documents i enclosed in this letter Copy of Xerox.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    My sefl Mr. Udhayakumar, I had purchased a two wheeler on 2008 model- pulsar vide registration no- TN39/AR3971 and my vehicle has been theft on 13th Oct'2010 and I have already submitted all document as per instruction by insurance company at coimbatore office but still I am not getting any claim after submitting all required documents and neither I am getting any information from their end. Last month I have contacted several times at chennai office to Mr. Nishar he told me that the case is closed and it will be opened again. After some days conversation he said that the claim cant be re-opened, its just closed. But actually i dint know why i cant claim my insurance because i renewed my two wheeler insurance periodically and also at the time of theft the insurance of my vehicle was current, I am surprising that is this is the answer for all the customers who are having two wheeler insurance. what will be the future of other customer cliam, I have also contact their customer care they have always given their Chennai office number-044 30277916, contact person name -Mr.Nishar, but they are also not giving me any proper solution.
