Issue:
Amount of rupees 10,039 was deducted from my ICICI credit card account for ICICI Lombard General Insurance without my knowledge, consent and without confirmation from me and in this context submit that by the date the amount deducted from my credit card, I was in USA

1) I called ICICI bank credit card customer care to stop the payment as I did not opt for the general insurance with ICICI Lombard, but they told that it has been already deducted 10,039 rupees from the account and is converted into 2years EMI. For this issue they asked me to call Lombard Insurance customer care.

2) I called ICICI Lombard insurance customer care and they routed me to cancellation department as they cant work on this issue.- I spoke with Mr. Siva from Hyderabad (I called him around 10:30PM IST on 29/08/2009)

3) I called cancellation department of ICICI Lombard GIC Ltd (Mr. Vishal from Mumbai - I called him around 10:30PM IST on 29/08/2009) and had discussion regarding the issue.

I told him that I did not opt for that policy and please help me in getting back the amount which has been deducted from my credit card account.
He is very much confident that I opt for the policy and he is asking me to cancel the policy if I am not interested where I will get back the amount but with certain cancellation charges.
I told that I am very much confident that I did not taken the policy as I am not in INDIA(I am in US for the business trip) to confirm, but without my knowledge the policy amount is deducting from my credit card which is not at all my fault.

I went to ICICI Lombard General Insurance, Nungambakkam in person but they have not given proper response from the customer care (Sandhya).

yesterday, I was trying to renew my ICICI Lombard insurance through website where the website's response was very poor and so I called the toll free number 1800 209 8888 to take the assistance.. I was responded by 3 different persons continously in the same line while the first two are unable to help me properly..

The last person, who addressed himself as Kapil and as floor manager, did the same thing and since the website was responding poorly, he asked me to give him my credit card IPIN details so that he can perform the renewal from his side..

IPIN is something that is very confidential and Kapil asked me just like that and when I refused to give it to him, he started telling me all possible things to convince me like the phone is secure, I can believe 120% , blah blah blah and he started talking something in hindi.. I dont know hindi and I never understood a single word what he talked in hindi..

How am I supposed to provide my credit card IPIN to someone whom I dont know.. I felt very bad for the way I was treated by Kapil yesterday..

Same is the case here (as akmaharshi). with out my notice Amount of rupees 11,300 was deducted from my ICICI credit card account for ICICI Lombard General Insurance and without confirmation from me.
I have called to ICICI Lombard for cancellation but they agreed for cancellation but during cancellation they have not informed me about the cancellation fee.
later when i spoke with Lombard customer care they asked me to contact ICICI credit card department, when i contact ICICI credit card cust care they asked me to contact Lombard people as they doesnt belong to Insurance department.
mean while ICICI bank people deducted 7320/- as lean amt.
I went to several ICICI departments and branches inorder to get back my lean amount but still im not able to get back my amount.
How come a reputed bank can do such kind of illegal things with their customers?
ICICI cheated me nicely.

Sorry to hear your loss and in think they have to take seriously measures to eradiate these issues which are emerging now a days once for all.But we should also be unite to hold a procession aginst the authorities.
