I purchased Two USB Modems online from The IT Bazaar, Chandigarh through ebay.co.in, on 11 Jan 2011 carrying the warranty of 1 Year each, as stated in the Retail Invoice No. ITBA/cst/06-10/265585. One of the Modem developed a problem in the month of Nov 2011. So, I contacted the seller telephonically and he advised me to send the faulty item to his store through courier for replacement . I did the same and the dispatched the item through DTDC Blue courier (Consignment No. V07171572), which was received by the seller on 09 Nov 2011. The seller initially agreed to replace the item under warranty, but now after over 40 days, he denied to replace the item and told me that warranty was only Six months and it was his sales executive's mistake to print 1 Year warranty period on the Invoice. In between this period, I contacted him various times over phone, and he misguided me that the replaced item will be dispatched to me in couple of days stating different reasons. The faulty Modem is still in his possession. On contacting ebay over this issue, their executive informed me that this issue is now beyond their jurisdiction as the time period of transaction between seller and buyer has crossed over 30 days from the date of purchase.
